  1. Carroll is still f***ing s***, it's only statistics that with all the headers he f***s up one or two will sometimes be good. That's 5 goals in 6. So? If our target man was any decent it'd be more than that with our long ball tactics tbh. If your being serious that is even funnier!

  3. It's both. We play that way because he's in the team, and it doesn't work because he's not good enough. No, not at all, if you look Swansea has been pressuring high up the pitch, Nolan and Smith can't move in free space quick enough, so the long-ball, or the pass back to keeper is the only option for the man on the ball on most occasions.
  4. The problems is and always has been the mobility of our center midfield, makes the rest of the team resort to long-balls. Get Nolan off, he has been utter wank.
  5. Erm Cardiff? Oh well, 3-0 we're f***ed! Maybe Hughton's usual negative away tactics aren't as bad as some people think? We all know Cardiff was a massive one-off. and these 60ish minutes isn't huh but most definitely 'reality'? Ok.
  6. Why is it puzzling, when it has been pointed out and proven time after time what he brings to the team? Has scored 11 league goals in three seasons and he should start world cup - just because of 'bringing the best' out of Rooney? Rooney right now can play well with anyone. Yes. Amongst others. Rooney right now can play well with anyone? He's in a team that still primarily uses fast attacking wingers playing on the counter. England doesnt, so another tactic is needed. Capello can see it, even us armchair managers can see why it works. There's been plenty of Hesky types over the years that aren't all that in their own right, but are needed to allow a team to work, they're the catalyst. Why do you have Owen as your avatar btw? It doesn't do your points of view on football any favours tbh. Because the majority of the time, people without a valid argument, would bring that observation up. Aye, because that was my main argument. Christ. Paranoid? Did actually agree with what you posted btw, just don't rate Heskey at all. There are better players who can do what he does plus more.

Just 11 goals, lets put that in perspective, Carroll scored 3 in that league at the back of last season, and he wasn't a 1st team regular. He is dire. Rooney right now can play well with anyone.
  9. I think Heskey's inclusion is more puzzling myself, may as well pack Harewood's bags as well if we are including this guy.
  10. Current form.. Lovenkrands and Carroll. Just has to be.
  11. Last night just highlighted his problem. Consistency. He will play poorly against say Derby or at Leicester then he will have a good game against Cardiff, it's that old argument of "Why can't he do that every week?" He even showed it last night, first half he scores a header with a man marking him, in the second half he spoons one into the ground when he's un-marked. He's almost Beckford esq in the sense he needs to be motivated, which is a disgrace and an annoyance because when he isn't up for it, he rolls around moans and shouts at refs and is not the handful for defenders his height and size normally is. How can you get consistenty - especially for a young player - to be isolated up front on your own most games? Have long balls punted up to you all afternoon? Also Butt and Smith midfield maestros?? Put him in a team that creates chances like yesterday.. and what do you know he has a good game.. he had their keeper beaten 4 times.. his two goals, when he hit the post and another one cleared off the line.
  12. So no one here thinks he is useless anymore then? Him and Lovenkrands are undroppable for the next fixture

I haven't spoken to him so I can't say how good his English is but I've been to Spain and managed to have good conversations without ever speaking a work of Spanish. You might be surprised at how good foreigners can speak our language. Some of the foreign posters on here use better English than some of the locals. Yes but he's a footballer, he's not an 'average person.' I'd be amazed if he could do more than basic phrases. Added to the fact why would you tell anyone that you refused to play? Especially a journalist, a journalist from the country who still own your contract? The guy will have advisors, and while I don't denie him the right to be pissed off at the fact some utter s**** was getting in the team ahead of him I think any agent worth his salt would be sat watching his interviews and making sure he isn't saying things like that. Well.. there was no denial.

He stopped playing by his own admission while here, he should never pull our shirt on again.
  15. There are certain vocal critics of Coloccini who are fairly persistent over a long period of time whether he plays well or badly. It's a shame when he's generally been considered one of our best defenders this season by unbiased commentators that he's still getting sniped at on here by our fans. I think most on here agree he is doing very well this year, some don't believe his form would continue into the Premiership .. after last year - so what warrants 'hate mob' in this thread? Just for future knowledge you have me curious.
  16. Well this.. Suggests the mob has just turned up
  17. huh? You didn't have to put your hand up, I might not have been talking about you. I fail to see a bad word about him on this page?.. so to read 'hate mob' without the hate is a bit peculiar.
  18. those two could make a really good partnership in all seriousness. If Williamson keeps up these performances obviously. I though Williamson looked good but Coloccini was class. Is it those two you were talking about? Nah was actually S. Taylor and Mike. Today Colo did look good, but worry about him in Premiership.. against better strikers i don't see him faring up well, a bit like last year, he doesnt really have the psychical attributes imo.. which is a shame as he is a cut above in this league.
