It's the bigger picture, not just this season. We would be better in the long run with an owner who is competent.
-
So immune he tried to sell the whole club after the first one?
-
Sorry what's the basis for this? Oh that's right there is none. Did you actually see the game? Did you actually see how wide it went. He had time to take that ball down and finish it. Just because you and my bitch Iceman Blue agree doesn't mean you are right, Carroll's shown on a few occassions he isn't a composed finisher under pressure. You said in your post 'should have buried that volley mind', now you would have liked him to take control of the ball and finish it? make your mind up

This idea would have hit the scrap heap come next Monday ..i know it's confirmed, but it sounds like a trial run until actual sponsorship is in place in the summer, so can be on or off overnight.
-
When Given was here he wasn't considered good enough for a top 4 team.
-
To be honest.. Barcelona did defend brilliantly but it was certainly a concern for them before the match, since some of their back four was unavailable... ..also as for our country's arrogance.. what about you saying to a Man Utd supporter 'they will get twonked'?
-
He scores against Liverpool all the time man. And I remember at least 4 goals against Arsenal since 2007. I only remeber 1 goal against Man U since 2007 (FA Cup final btw). So you're talking complete nonsense, basically. Find it funny that you even dare talk about strikers unable to score against the top teams, given your embarrassing love for Owen. EDIT: Drogba's last against Arsenal was his 8th in 9 games. He has scored something like 3 in his last 12 games against other top teams. Torres ratio is a lot better.. check for yourself. Drogba scores most of his goals against the dross of the league... explains why he scores against Jamie Carragher the odd time or two.
-
Has to be Torres. Drogba's record against the top 3 in recent years is appalling.

Surprised no one has mentioned this from yesterday.. the wisdom of Big Sam

Wtf look at the bench, the only person on there that should be in the first 11 is Ranger.. the rest of the team names itself. get a f***ing grip. -
Really I'm not going to bother with the primordial retards that infest this forum anymore. It is a sad inditement of this country that a horrendous cretin with a brain more defunct than Cliff Richard's penis is allowed to address a refined intellect such as mine with crass abandon. Hopefully the job centre put you on a literacy course so you may actually be able to spell words with more than one syllable. As for Carroll, hopefully he'll improve and start scoring the goals we need to gain promotion. mm the fact that you have 'Ramage is to defenders what Chris Benoit is to babysitters' under your avatar and also in your signature sums it up to me, you think your hilarious when in reality its just sad. Keep up the good work.

Unbelievable statement, considering the striker you champion Drogba scored 7 goals in 47 games in his early career yet you say he is the best striker in the world. I didn't see Drogba play before his days at Marseilles so I can't comment. I have seen Carroll for the last year though, and he looks to be a pretty f***ing rubbish football who occassionally uses his size to very good effect. Fair enough, but he's young,he is a good size (especially for this league), good left foot, handy in the air so he obviously has some ability and potential.. just like Drogba did back then. I'm certain if we had a young Didier who had 7 in 47 games, you would be saying he wouldn't be a top-tier striker right? let alone world class. So you shouldn't be too quick to right him off just yet. Comparing Carroll to Drogba I compared Drogba's first few years with Carrolls. .. Ronaldo rates Drogba the best striker around, he also thinks that Carroll will never make it in the PL.. yet their first professional seasons goals to games are pretty much identical... so its all too soon to tell how good Carroll will get. Which is what i was pointing out with the Drogba example. Since your thick as shit i'm not surprised you didn't understand.
-
It's late so forgive me if misinterpreted but that to me says: its obvious to you he'll never be a PL striker.
-
I have never seen anything to suggest Drogba was identified as a defender.. No one knows how good Carroll would be, he has displayed some good bits that i would like to see more of, his England appearances has always been good, and he's been a handful for defenders - which is always encouraging. He's still growing and developing all the time, he has a good left foot seems strike the ball well, so it's annoying to see such exaggerated statements that he could never be a Premier League striker.
-
If he was so good, why wasn't he a goal threat in all those games? and such a poor return? he was sold for just £80,000 so his fantastic pace and strength weren't worth much huh? No one saw anything in him. So if we had a player like that in our ranks its safe to say you would write him off. lets be honest here.

When do we get our Milner money?

Him or Aguero. Looks like the worlds joint best striker is gan have to gan some the night with A.Madrid getting humped 3-0 at half time And that's his fault is it? He is getting worse every game even his own father in law is not picking him ffs. Like most A.Madrid players bar Forlan he is overrated & underperforms. As for tonights game he has missed a few chances. X-Brum man Pandiani has 2 goals in the game. He's getting worse? This is crazy like you even watch him on a regular basis. And oh well Pandiani has two more in this game must be 10 fold better. Aguero tore Panathnikos apart in the Champions League and is still only 21. Torres didn't hit form till he was 23 and had joined a better Liverpool side. And as for Maradona can I assume Higuain has been s**** then considering he only just started getting in the team? And Cambiasso? And that the 2 centre backs based in Argentina he picked ahead of Samuel and Javier Zanetti are better? You talk some utter bollocks at times, and the Maradona arguement encapsulates this. Aguero's record is also better than Torres record for Atletico. Aged 19 or 20 he was their captain.. the side he played in was a lot shitter than the one Aguero is in too.

We don't miss Shola, he is immobile, weak for his size, zero ball control, no intelligence and cant even strike the ball cleanly. I would rather start Harewood and Nile over him, despite Nile's lack of goals atm. You crazy, crazy f***er. Harewood is horseshit personified and Nile, though he has potential, has barely looked like scoring in any of the games he's played so far. Shola is toss but at least he's scored some goals. Nile's all round game is a lot better than anything i have seen Shola do, bringing players into play, running with the ball, linking up with other players. Plus he is getting more and more of a goal threat in recent matches. Harewood will score goals this year. I honestly think Shola at this level will do way more than Marlon 'Amble-about-then-f***-it-up' Harewood and Nile, who is very young and extremely raw. More goals than those two put together in four games would tend to agree with me. Harewood record in Championship is really impressive, see i choose not to judge him on 4 games, you cant play long balls up to him - he is not that sort of player. Shola scoring a hat-trick honestly defies belief, was one of the worst hat-tricks have ever seen. Took his eyes off the ball completely for the header ffs. Have you forgotten what he was like at Stoke?? Niles, all around game, has been very impressive for his age. Should continue to let him start, shows good promise and once one goes in, i reckon they will start to flow.

Nicky Butt's fault.
