However, something went wrong in the window and led to a falling out and the last two lads being brought in without his consent. It is a complicated situation and one in which we are nowhere near in receipt of the full facts. But to say he had no power at all is churlish. However, to say that the board is above reproach is equally daft.

He could have kept turning players away, until the club had to take action on the last day and bring much needed new blood in 'over his head'. Who knows? It is all conjecture. But the FACT is that we are managerless, fragmeneted and disgruntled as a support (soemthing which I worry about the club being able to change), have a threadbare squad and 4 months until a window. We are, my friends, well and truely screwed.
