The fact that he played alongside Shola today and scored two suggests otherwise. Shola is basically poor, but he's very capable of turning a lot of loose balls into solid possession. That's certainly something that Ba needs. He's also capable of turning solid possession into loose balls. That's certainly something that Ba doesn't need. Had a proper moment reading this

Can't see us getting owt here. Be delighted with a draw but these injuries have hit us at the wrong time and to precisely the wrong personnel. Allied to the fact that these are decent at home i think we're up against it. Still can sit back and enjoy as our start means we are under very little pressure.

hows it surprising. didn't bartons reps say they expected more as he was a 10mill quality player for no transfer fee or something similar ? I thought more clubs would have spent more. our incomings were in exactly the bracket where agents think they can make a killing, like in the example of barton. It'll include fees for new contracts agreed too I'd imagine and we've done a bit of that in the last 12 months

I thought ben Arfa was lucky not to get sent off.
