I think Shaw is a bit better than he's getting credit for in this thread, a lot of their attacks came down that side. He's not a 30 million player but the fee is hardly his fault. Didn't realise at the time how bad Janmaats defending was for that. That cross should never have come in man. Janmaat should have done a bit better but Haidara left him with about 20 yards of space to get the cross in, was ridiculous. *edit to add* Obertan could have helped as well. They only had threat down our left all game, the right side was locked down, Mclaren could have done more tactically with that.

Appears to lack pace but I think pace tends to be slightly overrated anyway, it's an asset but not the be-all and end-all. What he lacks in pace he (hopefully) makes up for with strength, bravery and intelligence of movement.
