  1. Heh? You went all summer long about the need/prospect of replacing Simpson with Debuchy.. CB, RB, LW/forward for me. Don't even want another CM before we get rid of one or two.
  2. Aye, you'd want a youngster breaking into the first team to take a chance and express themselves without fear, but he isn't doing that at all at the moment. He looks like he's already lost that carelessness that made him a breeze when he was first eased into the squad. Needs a one or two year loan to a Championship team ideally to become more consistent and able to deal with the pressure that comes with being a professional football player.
  3. At least we have passable options besides Cabaye in that position. We don't in most other areas of the pitch and as a result we have seen fucking Williamson feature more often than not this season.
  4. We could do with someone like Bramble as he was back then alongside Colo. Certainly a better option than Williamson or Perch as third choice centre back.
  5. Draw for last 32 and last 16 is december 20th btw.
  6. You must be joking. They are about the same level, neither is good enough. As a CH I agree Perch's versatliliy makes him a more useful squad addition I think he is a better RB/DM than he is CH I'd go along with this. Desperately need another first choice centre back as Saylor has once again proven to not be reliable over the course of a season.
  7. Aye, central midfield is our strongest position in terms of quality and quantity. Would be madness to prioritise it over more urgent positions (full back, centre back, winger, striker).

  10. Perchy in. no more Willo hoofs and dropping clangers every game. He's starting to worry me in the same ways like the days of Bramble, you're just waiting for that obligatory clanger to be dropped each game by the player, just don't know at what minute of the game it will happen. And if he does happen to have a good game, you just wished he made that clanger early on, so we don't concede one late on like a eqializer or a winning goal by the opposition because of his inevitable cock up. Bramble was an infinitely better player for us.
  11. So glad we decided to invest our tiny transfer budget in another defensive midfield player last summer.
  12. Aye, heard about that a couple of weeks back..
  13. Where's this from? Seems strange that we've communicated who starts this long before the match..
  14. Pards has obviously gotten through to him to cut out some of the over-aggressive tackling that gets him booked automatically. He's also slowly learning to pass it short and release quicker. His little spin-move that was so successful in his first season seems to be getting him into trouble at times. But he's doing it less than he was earlier in the season. He's passing simpler, which is great. Just needs to cut out the amount of times hes shooting, which I'm sure will come next. He played well in that first half, much more composed and control of himself. He's so vital to our team it's ridiculous. Now if only he could just pass the ball at goal vs. blasting it Could have justifiably been booked twice inside the first 5 minutes..
  15. Absolutely this. Let's not make the same mistake we made in the summer again.
