  1. Sheffield have started the 2nd half much better. Hit the post, but Wolves seem to have taken their foot off the gas being 2 goals up.
  2. Reminds me a bit of Dennis Wise actually. They both hate us too. 100% Parker won’t see out the season. His idea of ‘possession football’ is to get the back line to pass it between them for 70 minutes. Don't forget the 360 spin moves in hopes of dishing the ball off to someone more capable, then playing a 15yarder inevitably back to your centre half.
  3. We were definitely deserving of the win, two shaky moments first half, but had the better run of the play for the most part and West Ham were never threatening the last 30min.
  4. Caught Southampton on the break after some horrible passing just over the halfway line and everyone defending were zoned in on the ball, leaving Zaha (possibly the most dangerous player on the pitch) wide open.
  5. Think we'll finish 15th or 16th.
  6. The last was something special, what a ball played that was.
  7. That second half was horrific, worst football I've seen since we last graced a pitch.
  8. "won't give Bruce the credit he deserves, points total..." same tired bollocks.
  9. Nah, WH maybe slightly edged the threatening play, but it's been somewhat even.
  10. Nah. We've gone a bit flat, need HT whistle. We've stopped pressing and are dropping off again, seems like it's hard to shake off the defensive mindset. Yup, West Ham absorbed our pressure, then took over from about 35min on.
  11. Calm before the announcement storm. I've been of the belief all along, that the PL want this to happen for the money, how could they not? Obviously, given the nature of the consortium, there would be quite a few objections and we've seen that played out over the past quarter. Clubs alone are losing up to £500million-£1billion+. What's the best way to come out on top? Oil money, that's looking to divest across industry. There will be a rebound for the PL by 2021-2022 and growth will only go up as the best players, world's wealthiest (SA, etc) want a slice of the action. https://www2.deloitte.com/uk/en/pages/sports-business-group/articles/annual-review-of-football-finance.html This click baity Forbes article sums up the report: https://www.forbes.com/sites/zakgarnerpurkis/2020/06/11/dont-be-fooled-by-the-premier-leagues-1bn-predicted-revenue-drop/#3542f112237e Think we'll be behind the front runners for a few years if this does go through, but expect us to be part of the elite eventually. Promoted and middle tier clubs will see the gulf widen by unreachable margins by 2025.

how can dignity be maintained if people are snapping photos of the lad using the loo?
  13. Yes, I too hope our striker scores a goal this season. Gayle’s been on target twice in the league since the restart.
