  1. Yeah I mulled over whether or not this was a top 10-er the most.
  2. There's still aspects of it that I think look utterly stupid (wtf is that collar? just don't bother) but *grits teeth* it's not as bad as the first impression. So it's gone from one of the worst ever to just a bit meh. If it's the mid noughties we're all wondering wtf's happened. I'll learn next year, I promise.
  3. Tough one this year imo. Depends on what metric you're using I guess! Purely in terms of quality I think Murphy's tight angle effort is the best goal.
  4. Don't care that it's in the other thread, we always have this... Last season:
  5. MotD using the Moyes graphic for West Ham there.
  6. Definitely with @Stifler on seeking some Sporting retribution.
  7. Have to say I found his moment with the Gallowgate very moving. He's always played the alpha so it was quite emotional watching him get so visibly choked. Pity he didn't get to have one final moment of glory but he owes us nothing. People often jump to how he saved us from relegation, as if it's his biggest achievement here, but it does him a disservice imo because he was instrumental in the 4th place season too. He isn't someone I ever warmed to as much as I should've done for someone with his record, solely because of how detached I was when he arrived. I regret that to some extent because, fucking hell was he a reliable goalscorer before the injuries caught up. Thanks for the memories and go and batter the Championship, Cal.

Nah. Couldn’t be more delighted that it’s them that will suffer And I won't argue with you.

Obviously delighted to have stolen the CL place from them but I won't take much satisfaction in them being dismantled by the forces of PSR, if that's what has to happen. It's a shame it's not us, them and Forest taking up the other spots, really. Fuck the cartel.
  10. Definitely. God knows the levels of bitterness now because when I first went on GOT Bruce and Ashley were still here, and they were feral over us even then.
  11. I wish that had gone in, like. Between that and his shitpinger he deserved a goal (though the close-range miss was a bad one), and I don't think a draw would've been wildly unfair despite how poor we were. Then I'm sat here with my weighing scales dipped more to the 'excited for Champions League' side than the 'annoyed we didn't beat Everton' side, as they currently sit.
  12. I couldn't get me head around it when I was on there briefly. Absolutely bizarre level of hatred. Got to be an echo chamber thing.
  13. Love the bloke to pieces. He doesn't come across as a traditional captain but he's certainly an inspirational one; he's someone you hang your hopes and your love on. Sorry if this is a bit maudlin because it's meant as a serious point, but the notion of love is a pretty big deal with him. You can see he's driven by love and he gives as much as he gets. He loves the club and it loves him; that goes for the fans and clearly everyone else internally too - especially the manager. Bloke's a God. Hope he gets a good rest over the summer; he's been flogged to death for club and country for two seasons solid. It's nearly 120 games and all that comes with it, including the pressure off being elevated to captain.
  14. Yous must have missed Beto's two absolutely laughable efforts from the centre of the goal. Being physical is one thing...
  15. How fucking shit is that Beto dope btw?
  16. I mean, we won 20 times. We lost more than Palace. But we won 20 times. The achievement matches the application iyam.
  17. I get it. Losing is rubbish and, any other season, we're not in the CL, so I feel a bit sheepish and fortuitous. However, 20 wins in the PL is an absolutely brilliant effort and we deserve it on the basis of that. Not forgetting we've overcome the financial structures which set out to pin us down; it's a brilliant achievement.
  18. The 3-4-3 has looked extremely effective more than once this season, it just wasn't right at all today.
  19. On the match, credit to Everton who did a very good job on us. Defended extremely well and rattled us. We looked out of ideas and low on energy. Being kind I'd argue that today was a side-effect of an absolutely mammoth season where we have fought and fought and fought to make up for ground lost in the Autumn. It's been a sensational effort from everyone involved, and that's before you even get onto the cup win. Exciting times ahead.
  20. Fantastic achievement. Sad we couldn't be emphatic about it and do it not via the sheepish 5th place position, but ultimately it doesn't matter a jot and we've merited it. 20 league wins.
  21. We never need to mention today's ludicrous performance every again. We've earned our place in the Champions League; what a season.
  22. Fucking hell, cannot believe Man Utd have helped us out.
