You've come to that conclusion having seen him in one game against a naff Newcastle side, three years ago? Naff Newcastle side? Definitely not the case We had half a team out injured tbh. Viana, Bridges, Hughes and Shola (who was shite back then) all played.

We should have beaten them at home, we had three very good chances to score. Shola from like the corner of the six-yard box, blasted it straight at Barthez. Then Gary Speed missed an open goal from a rebound from a free-kick. Bridges shaved the post n'all. We were never in it in the away game, though.

We were never, ever, ever, ever going to sign Miroslav Klose. Especially after the World Cup he had in Germany. Couldn't believe the media coverage of it. There was him, Kuyt and Martins. I just couldn't understand the Klose business - he had Europe's elite available to him. Probably would have done this season aswell.
-
Said as if we ever had a cat in hell's chance of signing the guy.

A representative to the media. Aye thought it'd be something similar.
-
What's a media representative then? Summat to do with marketing or summat?
-
Don't recall that vow myself. Not personally he hasn't, but then he doesn't talk to the media. However his 5-year plan to make us Champions League winners, or summat, included a mention of something like a £200m budget?

It comes from the fact that 'mort', in French, mans 'dead'. Anyhow - nice to see Ashley not wasting any time.

I would bet a lot of money that Craig Bellamy will NEVER score 20+ goals in one season, whilst he's in the Premiership.

Ideally: ---------------------------------- Given ----------------------------------- Sagna ------------ Taylor ---------------- Campbell ---------- Baines ----------------------------------- Butt ------------------------------------ -------------------- Barton ----------------- Emre ----------------------- Milner ------------------------------------------------------------ Martins --------------------------------- Viduka ----------------------------------- Incomings being: Bakari Sagna, Sol Campbell, David Rozenhal, Leighton Baines, Alou Diarra, Joey Barton, Mark Viduka Optimistic.

Weren't there some there having a go at Barton when he signed?
-
Aye, we should go for Dabizas aswell. And what's Charvet up to nowadays?
-
Just to appease you, Eyeball Tickler. Agreed, if he ends up here come pre-season, dedicated to the club, i'll be dead chuffed and will be behind him. However, that's not the likely outcome.

The thread, aswell as the entire Michael Owen discussion that's taken place on the forum since about April time, has been all about ifs buts and maybes. Not to simply have a go at him.

Nope, not yet. But if he buggers off now, therefore not even trying to make back the £10.4m* we've paid him in wages for the past couple of years, i'll be a bit cheesed off. *Rough estimation of 2 years at £100k-a-week, for the pedants. why did you pick the negative option? in that scenario you'd be cheesed off, but what if he stayed and scored 20 goals? Eh? I said if he leaves, i'll be unhappy. If he stays, of course i'd be pleased. Why did i pick the negative option? Well... that's what the thread is based upon, isn't it.

PS. If he goes to Man City i'll fucking hunt the bastard down. He would actually deserve to die. To quote Sir Robin's minstrels: His head smashed in, and his heart cut out, And his liver removed, and his bowels unplugged, And his nostrils raped, and his bottom burned off, And his penis split ... and his ...

Meh, i consider him as good as signed now anyway. Transfers dragging is the norm nowadays.

Aye, the idea of Zoggy as a centre-mid sickened me from the off, and it still does. One of the many, many factors of Roeder's actual downfall itself, was the treatment of N'Zogbia; and i don't think there's any other individual factor that makes me so angry, other than that one. This'll sound a bit out there, and i'll probably get slated, but we had a young guy there who had the potential to be better than Ginola and Robert put together, imo. He was just that good in 05/06. Then to convert him into centre-mid? Gar. Pisses me off just thinking about it. Really hope Sam tries to sort him out. I'd have hope for Sam sorting him out, or at least getting through to him that his best position is on the wing. Agree with you about Roeder's handling of N'Zogbia, complete disgrace. Better than Ginola and Robert put together is pushing it though. Aye, pushing it, but not totally unrealistic imo. The lad's class, man.

Wednesday? Oh right... i was of the impression "he will sign the contract on Monday" ... i'm probably talking rubbish. My bad!
