  1. Moritz Volz is training with QPR. Surprised he still hasn`t got a club yet
  2. Roberto Ayala available on a free transfer having just been released by Zaragoza.....used to be a top class defender
  3. was just about to say this......I know next to nowt about him and his goal record is not great, neither was Bellamy`s. I remember the majority of fans were less than enthusiastic about him too..... yeah underwhelmed is the word but if he does sign then lets give him a chance. The knives are already out it seems though.
  4. who was the last decent Norweigan player to play/currently play in the Premier League? there used to be quite a few good quality players from there but these days not so many. Gamst Pederson?
  5. Hughton 'very keen' on Moses "It's been documented that we are very interested in signing the lad," said Hughton. "Most people are also aware of the circumstances with Crystal Palace and the situation they are in, and we hope to make progress on that over the next couple of days. "It's one we have a very, very keen interest in." Newcastle are on course for a return to the Premier League at the first time of asking after an impressive Championship campaign. They have lost just three of 26 games this season, but Hughton knows that, to keep up their impressive run, they must keep the goals coming. The Magpies boss admits that Moses' youth makes him a more desirable target. "He is a player who has an ability to score goals," he said. "There is a power and pace, but it is his potential. "Around what we are trying to do here this season, which is the most important thing, there also has to be an eye on the future, and he is certainly a player of wonderful potential." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12874_5893297,00.html?

    Xisco

not starting all the games though
  7. surprised Arsenal haven`t bid for him. Hopefully they don`t....
  8. Was he not getting a game for QPR? anyways, another big lad at 6 foot 4 along with Williamson and Taylor. Nice to have a bit of height/threat at set pieces from the back...
  9. was nicknamed the Championship C.Ronaldo apprently
  10. The Times is going with £900K , elsewhere it is reported: "But flush with the £2million they made on the Routledge deal" if it is anything near that amount, why would they sell him for such a cheap price considering he's done extremely well for them? Is he out of contract in the summer? Not as if QPR are short of cash
  11. few if any youtube compilations....must be crap then
  12. happy that we've signed him ...a decent signing definitely but lets not go overboard (though it is understandable).
  13. anyone seen him play recently? I remember he looked a very promising player back when he was at Palace a couple years but he seemed to have lost his way completely since he moved on. I guess he's done well for QPR this season......with us and a few other clubs having bid for him.Good thing is that he's still only 25 so has time on his side to get better.
  14. apparent picture of Cabanas in the aftermath of the shooting. upto you if you want to click http://www.lancenet.com.br/resources/3492966.jpg
  15. Sunderland target Salvador Cabanas has been shot in the head..... http://www.goal.com/en/news/1700/paraguay/2010/01/25/1760642/breaking-news-paraguayan-international-salvador-cabanas-shot
  16. Fail to see in a million years how they'll be able to afford his wages. City will pay part (probably a large chunk) of his wages and Santos the rest.
  17. We tried to sign him this summer, but didn't meet Depor's valuation (€15m). Totally gutted about his injury, I really like him and I was hoping he made the WC squad. yeah you guys went for the cheaper option in Maxwell. How is is doing since he left Inter? Don`t think he was that impressive there IIRC. Filipe and Dani Alves as left/right back respectively would have been fantastic to see despite the holes there would inevitably be at the back.
  18. he could play the Cafu type role ....right back and right winger all in 1
  19. Wigan signed Argentine striker Marco Ruben from Villareal.....I vaguely remember him playing for River Plate and he looked a good player then. Villareal paid a canny bit of money for him IIRC too but I guess it never worked out.
  20. NEWCASTLE United’s unpopular owner Mike Ashley will impose a wage ceiling of £30,000 a week on any new signings if they win back a Premier League place. That would mean the Geordies, who have paid huge wages of up to £110,00 a week for stars like Michael Owen in the past, will be unable to attract the top players to St James’ Park in the summer. Ashley believes that gigantic wage bills are crippling clubs and he wants to make a stand. Newcastle have confirmed our Sunday Express exclusive that they are ending their 14-year association with kit suppliers adidas at the end of the season in favour of Puma. http://www.dailyexpress.co.uk/posts/view/153787/Mike-Ashley-to-impose-wage-ceiling/?
  21. can`t have done that bad.....he was named man of the match in 4 out of the 7 matches he played.
  22. no problems entering the Hall Of Fame forum....gold
  23. Coloccini is a man on a mission for Magpies http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2010/01/23/coloccini-is-a-man-on-a-mission-for-magpies-72703-256683
