Troisi and Lua Lua are looking very promising, IMO, and Carrol looks a cut above, he wins every header with good control as well. Edgar has done well too. Great goal from Emre, first a one-two with Troisi, then another one with Baheng, before flicking the ball over to his left foot in the penalty area and slots it in.

Haven't really got much to add to this thread, but a special one for me would be Souness getting sacked. Was in school, middle of a math-class, devasted after another gutless performance, and had been wishing him away for ages. Got a text from my dad, "Bye bye Greame", was all it said. I jumped out of my chair, ran out of the class-room, heading for the computer-lab and grabbed a computer to verify it. When I came back to class ten minutes later, and my teacher wondered where I'd been, I just said "Heard that our manager got sacked, I just had to see if it was true." and then sat down and went on with the rest of the class. At that time, I was so sure that the good times would return.

Which Skirge has just shown doesn't actually work You wouldn't draw every game though, would you? Same as you don't win every game when you go out with the attitude to win the games.
-
He's obviously trying to say that it's better to always go out with the attitude to try and win the game, rather than playing for a draw, even if you're in a relegation fight.
-
KK said it's him and Round that has been working on our set-plays, and that the rewards are showing. For the record, I'm starting to think that Geremi's been told to play his corners short, for one of our players to flick it on in the box.
-
Goals scored I would assume All 0-0s. Then what? Arsenal would win the league because of alphabetical order Big Grin Reminds me of this: http://www.rsssf.com/miscellaneous/even.html Harsh being relegated with the same amount of points as the team that finnished 7th
-
How would that team line up? Looks like 5 defenders, 3 attacking midfielders and 2 strikers to me. Forster Kadar Ramage Edgar Tozer Diatta Troisi Emre LuaLua Carrol Baheng Possibly?
-
The game is televised on MUTV in the UK, and on Viasat Sport 2 in Sweden (Scandinavia??)
-
Except for Ramage, that looks like a very good reserve side! Who are we playing? Edit: Maybe I should have a look at the thread-title, eh?

He's not a Geordie, so he'd be lying if he sang all of it

Fucking love it. KK mentioned this to world as well, that he told him to be more selfish, that he's almost unstopable one-on-one in training and that he should do it during games as well. Got us two goals yesterday, well done Kev and Oba
-
Has Oba got a tattoo on his neck by the way? Looked like it yesterday, on the left side I think it was.
-
When they (the players) came in, I didn't speak for the first two minutes, cause they were doing it for me, "Come on, we're better than them, we can win this, we're a different class". Keegan to World in the post-match interview.

like Role Model said, we aren't getting carried away. We are simply happy about a very good away win.
-
Loved that we came back from being one down as well. Remember back when Bobby was manager, we were the masters of coming back when we had conceded. Sometimes it almost felt that we needed a goal against us to pick up.

Owen deserves so much praise for how well this formation works, IMO. He's taken on his new role with perfection, and what makes it even more impressive is that it's not only a new role for him, but it's a very rare (if used at all) role in football as a whole. He's almost covering two positions at once, one as an attacking midfielder and one as a striker. Got no idea whether it's the way to go long term, but short term, i.e rest of the season, I don't mind seeing this formation for all our games.
-
Best skinning in a key position since N'Zogbia took the piss out of Brad Friedel at Ewood Park. Indeed, what a lovely goal that was. I loved Martins' goal today though, good tackle from Barton, then a brilliant pass and then the skinning and a great finnish. And such a relief from seeing it go in, Martins finally got to score again and it killed off any of their chances to get anything from the game. Lovely!
-
Enrique was immense today, hardly put a foot wrong all game.
-
He won the free-kick for our second goal, was behind our third and scored the fourth. Got to be worth some sort of if you ask me.
-
Would love to know what Kev said to Geremi when he was taken off, massive smiles on both their faces So happy for Martins as well, great goal! He's such a key player in this formation, he's opening up the defence brilliantly and no one's got a clue what he's going to do with the ball when he's got it. Love it.

Wow... fucking wow!! Even at 1-0 down, I wasn't gutted, Spurs are a good team and we hadn't played bad, felt that we were definitely in it. At 1-1, I would've taken that and have been very very happy. 2-1, extatic, though still nervous, ours to lose at that point. 3-1 and I felt a bit more comfortable, but knowing it was against Spurs who have made some great comebacks this season, still nervous. 4-1 and I don't know what to say, brilliant, just brilliant. Best I've seen us play for a few years, away against an in-form Tottenham. So fucking happy!!

Sod dropping the underperfomers, get them to perform instead!!

GET IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get in, Butt!! We've played well, deserved to get one back. Keep it up lads, we should be able to something out of this!
