He only won the title with Lazio because he spent shit loads on Crespo, Mendieta etc. Other than that triumph, his record is nothing spectacular and thus, it'd be more worth it to take a risk with someone who isn't going to demand a lot of money from the club to work. Someone young and promising. Really? Winning the UEFA-cup in 1982 with a SWEDISH team, winning the portuguese league two years in a row with Benfica and finnishing second in the UEFA-cup the year after, winning the Italian cup with Roma and Fiorentina, twice with Lazio and the Cupwinnerscup with Lazio. Decent record IMO. Don't think we can get a manager who has won more than him, tbh.

Sven and Tord are tactical though. Perhaps they didn't had what it takes to manage England, but I'm sure they'd do quite good if they were appointed.
-
I would. Yes, he's a boring fucker but he knows how to manage a club. I'd also quite like the extra attention (more televised games) we'd get in Sweden.
-
Fair enough then. Couldn't really watch the game, we just had it on on one small tele at the pub and I didn't come in til after half time.
-
I'd love us to sign an up and coming manager from somewhere in Europe. Someone bold who dares to "rest" the big names and doesn't feel like he has to blame anyone else and most importantly, wants the team to play football!
-
I can't for my life understand how any manager would prefer to play Butt/Parker ahead of Emre! posibly the worst decisionmaking ever!!! While I'm at it, why did he do that Moore - Gooch sub? Did he think Gooch was going to win the game for us or something? We're trying to get a goal and you sub a CD for a CD?! Having a laugh?!
-
I want England to win, but I wouldn't mind a couple of goals from our Dutchmen.
-
Obagoal, without a shadow of a doubt
-
It's not. I'm loving Newcastle and my local team here in Sweden. Feel absolutely gutted when my local team loses as well.
-
Not a proper fan, then
-
You're having a laugh, surely? That ntl-sponsor ruined a good shirt! Let's go back to Toon Ale! NEVER HAD TOON ALE TBH Is there a Toon Ale? Thought it was a nickname for newcastle brown :tongue2:

Why put the crest in the middle?! Really doing my head in!
-
The Northern Rock black square is much blacker than the stripes... Also, both the Adidas badge and our badge is in a much lower resolution than the rest of the pic. Not to mention that it actually looks like they put back the last piece of the jigsaw instead of just using the original picture. I'm probably just being overoptimistic, because I hope that that's not what it'll look like.
-
Fucking piece of dogshite! How can the badge be in the middle? looks like a trainingshirt!!
-
There'd be a hell of a lot more kids playing as Newcastle on Pro Evo if that happened. Hoping that it'll be Bridge
-
By me, Martins.

What worries me is that Roeder seems to think of Emre as a LW, because both Parker and Butt are "undropable". Emre is totally wasted on LW and I hope he has a fantastic game tomorrow in the middle and proves to Roeder that CM is his best position

I still feel terribe because of last night. It was hell on Earth working tonight as well, having every fucking costumer asking me "what happened yesterday then?". And I'm dreading Charlton on Sunday as well, we could very well lose, and if we do that, I don't think I could take it anymore.
-
At least he was better than Butt. Doesn't say much though
-
I'm so fucking gutted at the moment. Fucking worse than my team in Sweden got relegated to the second division. On the subway home from the pub, I couldn't even look at people. Just burried my eyes in my hands and tried to shut everything off. Depressed. Who fucking knows when we'll be in Europe next time?
-
The truest anyone has ever said on this board. I'm so depressed at the moment I don't know what to do!

I'm very nervous about this game. Make or break for this season. Hope we can win it, keep us undefeated in Europe this season.
