Been busy all evening, just Downie reporting this then or owt else going on?
-
Looks to me though like he caught the club completely off guard, and his behaviour has derailed our entire summer. We've had to shift our focus entirely to trying to find a top class striker, which we've obviously failed miserably at doing. I doubt our summer would have been remotely similar to this had he not thrown his toys out of the pram.
-
Sure it's already been posted, but apparently Only Wanted Man Utd
-
But their offer was within the error margin of ours, so if the player said he would prefer Man Utd they would barely be losing out.
-
Careful, or Froggy will tell you it was only 70+9.5 with someone else covering the rest of the fee and how good a deal it was for them.
-
At least then we're only sacking off one season I guess
-
Can see us getting him on a loan, unfortunately.
-
Doubt they'll drop their asking price by 75%.
-
What the fuck has he done, except sign for Chelsea, that should double that fucking price? He has ruined enough of my FPL weeks to know that he's fucking crap.
-
How much did Chelsea pay for him?
-
Can't even imagine what the defence will look like
-
The blacklisting wouldn't be because of ethical reasons
-
Fair point tbh. As we're seeing, Champions League and the money it brings isn't really that much, so might as well take a 10 point deduction next season to build a proper squad while losing fucking loads of money. We're unlikely to make Europe next season anyway the way things are going.
-
That's just a rehash of Romanos tweet, with the sources coming from Man Utd. Not saying it's wrong, but it's a) nothing new or b) anything worth paying attention to as it's coming from the potential buyer not the player or the selling club.
-
Swap deal for Sesko
-
And this is why £150m (or god forbid even less than that) for Isak is a joke. It'll barely be enough to get two strikers in, let alone be some game changing amount of money that will let us rebuild the squad.
-
Yes. Especially with the timing of this. Isak is back at the training ground with Howe for 3 hours, couple of hours later we've upped our club record bid for another striker. Certainly doesn't look good for keeping Isak, does it?
-
Because he'd be replacing a much better player
-
Lw I think, so just has to compete with Gordon and Barnes
