Beckford goal ruled out, I've got him as first goalscorer
-
That was me. Mackems 1-0 up.

I though Zurab was that young Slovenian? No idea if you're serious or not, but the young Slovenian would be Haris Vuckic.

Arsenal and Barca - agreed. But not Sevilla they are playing Mallorca who are above them in the league, unbeaten and at home. I've been looking at a few non-league and Scottish games for tonight and fancy these: Oxford, Kidderminster, Stevenage, Hibernian, Aberdeen and Motherwell. Will check out the odds when I get home (can't access gambling sites at work) and maybe whittle it down to a 4/5 team accy. Sevilla are at home mate. Stuck to those three games on one, the one Ronaldo posted and one with Leeds or Draw, Barnsley or Draw and Nottingham Forest or Draw. Sorry my bad, Sevilla are at home. 2-0 up just before half time

Wish I could see this, would be very interesting to see all the youngsters.

Great line up -
Co workers something was/is together with Nobbys sister or something like that, don't really remember what the connection was there Used to kind of know Gary Sundgren (ex Swedish international, used to play for Real Zaragoza), know an up and coming kid who occasionally plays for AIK and my brother used to play with the current centre half in AIK, Per Karlsson. A mate of mine used to play with Albin Ekdal, who currently belongs to Juventus but is on loan to Sienna I think.

Would really like to see Söderberg at some point during the season. -

I can't see it coming off, but if it does, I will thank you Only put about £5 on it though.

Shit, I just realised that I'll probably be working that Sunday, as we usually have our Christmas due on the Sunday before Christmas
-
anyone see the contradiction ? Arsenal, Sevilla, Barcelona should all be safe bets tonight, having them and one or two more games tonight, don't know which ones yet though.

Promotion, no doubt. Though of course it would be nice to win a cup, but we have to look at the long run - not being promoted this season would see us lose any decent player we still have. It's also a lot more realistic that we get promoted than winning the cup. -

FYP Now that, of course, would be even better -
As always, great news for me and the rest of the plastic fans, but bad for the locals.

Krul Taverner Tozer Taylor Kadar Lua Lua Vuckic Butt Ferguson Ranger Lövenkrands All about blooding youngsters and giving a rest to our senior players, while letting Lövenkrands and Butt get some match fitness. -
The first time he did it, it eventually lead to us being relegated and him losing about £100m. This time he's gotten lucky with our good start, so it won't have affected him anything. However, it does affect us, the fans, a great deal.
-
So you think the game would have gone on for another ten minutes if needed? Seems a bit stupid to bribe the ref to say that "hey, dude! If we're equal after the time is up, give us an minute and a half to get a goal will ya?"

Thats the risk you take its part and parcel of football. Do you want us to end up like a Bolton Wanderers, a club who in effect says to its fans you will never ever win a trophy and the best you can ever hope for is scraping around near the bottom of the premiership, because we will always play weakened teams in the cup. Thats how we will end up because I guarantee that next season if we do get promoted, people will be saying survival is the priority. Don't fall for the sky tv bullshit - the premier league isnt the be all and end all. I just mean for this season, promotion is more important than winning a cup, we have sod all cover of decent quality. Bringing Ameobi on a Jonas in the last cup match hindered us, ok we've done well but we've been lucky imo. Fair enough, but I suspect a lot of other people will be saying the same thing next season even if we get promoted That would, of course, depend on how our squad looks next season. If it's still as thin as it is this season, then yes, people will rightly say that we should focus solely on staying in the Premier League. -
Hopefully Ranger will get a start alongside either Loven or carroll and sign off with a goal against Peterborough. Yep, would be good to see him start again tomorrow. I'd give Carroll a rest personally, and give Loven some more match fitness. Me too.
-
Good news, though it'll probably mean less minutes on the pitch for Ranger which I think is a bit harsh on the lad. Still, this is excellent news.
-
I hope he starts tomorrow, both because it'll do him good and cause it means we can rest a senior player.
