I find it funny that Dave agreed with the OP.
-
I really fucking hope both of them start up front against Everton.
-
Surely that can't be the real shirt?
-
Especially our relegation rivals. Sounds very serious, all the best Joe.

In true NE5 fashion: mackems.gif

TBF, he's only supporting his manager. It's not like he can go out and say "no, Kinnear is something of a clown and we obviously didn't know what we were doing when we hired him. We'll get rid of him sharpish". He probably sends deep-fried Mars bars to Kinnear at the hospital. Aye, but if they didn't like him, they wouldn't have given him a new two year contract. What a fucking mess.
-
Spain were immense in that first half. England didn't play bad, it was just Spain being so fucking good. If we want to get back into this, we have to give the ball out to the wings a lot more, especially to SWP (if he's still on after HT) and let him run down the line and cross it. Heskey and Gabby should be able to win a few headers in their box. As it is now, we've more and more been playing long balls to Heskey, and it hasn't worked.
-
You know, that's not a bad XI. Get Rooney in ahead of Heskey and A. Young instead of Downing, and that's looking solid. Have Barry and Carrick helping the defence and spreading the balls from midfield, then have the front four running at people Man U style. Really happy for Jagielka to get a start as well, he's deserved it.
-
That is probably true. We've said it for quite some time, that if we stay up, it will be thanks to the players.
-
Duff had one good game against WBA where Jonas was suspended, but was shite against the mackems. Don't really see how this has anything to do with Owen's new contract though.
-
Shame, he's looked good in the games I've seen him. Hopefully he'll change his mind when Owen fucks off and only really have to be better than Shola to get a start (assuming Viduka will be out injured or not given a new contract).
-
Don't think it is all that definite. You think his family will want him to continue? If he makes a full recovery in six weeks (was in the journal or chron that the doctors estimated that's how long he'd be out), I can see them being okay with it. I can also see Kinnear saying to them that they are out of order and calling them cunts and staying anyway.
-
Yes. That wasn't funny at all, by the way.
-
Don't think it is all that definite.
-
Neither do I. I can see why the club wants to keep Owen, he's an icon in a way. I wouldn't be sad to see the back of him though if he weren't to sign it, I've had enough of him in a way.
-
Hope it all goes well and that he realises that he is not fit to run this club. While I do think he is a horrible manager and a lying cunt, I do not wish him any harm.
-
I'd love Advocaat here, probably my number one choice. Has Zenit playing some very good and attractive football. Don't see him leaving them though, unfortunately.
-
Get them all in and we'll have a management team. A different manager takes each match, depending on their speciality. Great idea! Sven getting the chequebook and the difficult games, Advocaat and Martinez for when we want some flair and carpet football, Scolari and Grant for the games against Chelsea, Deschamps for when we play Italian teams in the Champions League and Shearer against the mackems and Boro
-
Rate Jol higher than Scolari for PL. I agree. Would be a cracking appointment. He's even worked under the DoF system and done well with it in this league before if, as it appears, we must stick with it. How about Scolari to the end of the season (he's out of work so who knows?) then Jol come the summer? If we got Scolari to the end of the season, surely we should be looking at keeping him long term?
-
Scolari, Grant, Sven, Deschamps, Advocaat, Martinez or Shearer.
-
Yes we are but i worry that the hierarchy at our club doesn't have a clue on footballing matters. Poyet or some other Spurs/Cockney related manager, would be the most likely outcome. Redknapp?
-
Dodgy ticker. Get him in, ticks all the boxes. Old - Check Could die at anytime - Check Aye, but the ticks are dodgy...
-
If Portsmouth go for Sven, it'd be comical for us to turn to Venables, who isn't all that good and has already turned us down, or Poyet. Surely we are more attractive than Pompey, even with everything that's been going on?
