Pre Match - Newcastle United vs West Ham Utd - Sat 10th Jan @ 15:00
Alberto2005 replied to Skirge's topic in Football
I think there comes a moment in a wingers career when it's halfway through the season and you say to yourself.. "Our goalkeeper has more assists than me" that is when you should be considering your level of ability. -
Has anyone even see Appiah play on a regular basis? Didn't realise the Turkish league was televised.

Thats not a bad man actually compared to the fag shirt b4 tat one anyways. Looks a bit like Man City's purple kit

He's 26. How much better can he get exactly? As a centre half. A lot I would say. I thought he was 24 tbh, but Rio is 30. Has he not improved in the last 4 years? He was good enough for Man Utd and Leeds to pay £18m+ each before he was 26, so there's your answer. What's that got to do with how much he's improved over the last 4 years though? Because he's comparing the players, Ferdinand was already a world class defender at Bougherra's age.

I'd fucking love it if he came off the bench and scored the winner. I think a lot of people on here would, even more so whilst celebrating he took a banana from his sock and threw it into the crowd.
-
I don't think injuring him would do our chances of signing him any favours.
-
He does it even when it isn't the window.
-
I think the latter part of that could be said for most people.
-
Why would you even contemplate taking a silly offer such as 12m? To replace him with who? You won't find a better keeper that: A:Is as good as Shay Given B:Would be interested in coming to us Furthermore, we could sell him for 50m and that would be no good either as Ashley wouldn't give us anymore than 5 million to actually replace him.
-
Anne Robinson. Would you or wouldn't you?
-
He doesn't have to do anything to get in the team, he's up against Duff who provides absolutely nothing.

N'Zogbia: Lyon interested according to agent

I am shocked no one went for him. O'Neill would have been far better off spending that £12 million on him rather than Milner. Larsson is at least 3 times the player. You really have to wonder wht some of these managers are looking at sometimes. Milner doesn't do a single thing better than Larsson. Not one thing. Crazy. There's no way he's 3 times the player like.

I think it's fair to say Ronaldo was a much more accomplished player when he came to the Premiership. -
I'd take 12-15th spot aswell.

Bassong's been great, all the back four have tbf, great save from Given off Lampard but we need to use the ball a bit better, obviously Chelsea are going to have the majority of the ball but when we get it we're giving it away far too often. -
Well, I've not met Hitler. I hardly think Tim Lovejoy can be classed in the same bracket as Hitler

Soccer AM used to be a brilliant program IMO, he was an excellent presenter aswell, never met the bloke so I couldn't say if he was a "cock" or not.

Don't know what people are moaning at, our best player first half, he was poor against Fulham but even when he isn't at his best he has a knack of creating something out of nothing.

Pretty sure it was tactical, completely baffled me, if you're going to do that at least take Duff off ffs. -

Deserved fuck all IMO, I thought we were very poor first half, we had a very good spell for around 20 minutes where we could have gone on to win it but the penalty completely deflated us. I still think Coloccini was our best player despite the penalty, looked at ease with everything, Barton and Butt had good games also, everyone else were shit barring Given. -
Excellent manager, no way would he join us though.
