Just watched the presser back. Nothing much more to add to Hope's tweet, but Howe seemed quite relaxed about it. But he did say he didn't really know what the problem was. -

Sticking Hall in midfield in the biggest game of the season is a mad shout imo 😂 -

3 at the back then, don't like that. -
Pretty sure at least Krafth and Schar will get extensions. Trippier will definitely be gone. I'd probably let Lascelles and Targett go aswell. I'm not sure if we have anything in the youth to bring in, but we'd definitely need a RCB as a starter and a LB to cover for Hall. Something like: Tino New RCB Botman Hall Krafth Schar Burn New LB If we get CL we will probably need an extra body, so wouldn't be against giving Lascelles another year.

What does an "option to buy" actually mean? Does it just mean they get first chance to make an offer for the player something?
-
I know Isak might want to go, but realistically who is going to be able to stump up £130-150m?
-
Isak to Chelsea with Madueke in return, Howe at the gates telling the fans he'll take the flack if it goes wrong.
-
I thought the decision to bring him on Saturday was strange given we were chasing the game. I wonder if it was a message to Mitchell that he still has an important part to play.
-
Yeah fair comments. It seems to be a lose/lose unless we somehow get into the top 5. We play it safe and stay within PSR, having room to spend after June 30 but likely to miss out on the CL and have to sell at least one big player. We get a RW, have a better chance of CL but not a guarantee. End up scrambling around again in June and have to sell a big player if we can't get rid of a Barnes.
-
Is that for certain? I don't see why we couldn't spend a reasonable amount on a RW this window given we've brought in £30m. I get that means we'd be breaking PSR come June. So surely selling a Barnes/Joelinton would alleviate that? It's all ifs and buts but I feel like CL is there for the taking, and we're just letting it slip away. We're talking about a potential £100m in revenue if we qualify, where else are we going to get that without selling a big player?
-
Feels like we're accepting not getting into the CL to some extent. Which also means accepting we're likely to lose a purple in the Summer.
-
Probably. I wonder if we're holding it back to try and take advantage of clubs in PSR trouble prior to June 30.
-
I'm pretty sure she'll be able to score the 10 league goals required to activate the permanent deal.
-
It's obligation to buy.
-
Aye gained a bit of credit there. Wouldn't have expected much more than £20m.
-
Aye fuck off Luke.
-
I thought you were making a Niemi joke.
-
Can we add a poll to see who thinks we'll make any kind of signing before the deadline.

I thought he looked awful today, looks half the player he used to be.
