I don't think it's the fact Gordon took the second penalty that is the issue, as we know he was designated to take it. It's that deep down he comes across as a selfish character at times (IMO), and if the boot was on the other foot and Woltemade was the penalty taker I'd be very sure he'd have been asking Woltemade to give him the second penalty and kicking up a fuss.
