  1. Bale's goal was unbelievable. Fantastic strike
  2. Who put us as his current club on wikipedia? Come clean..

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Don't. I was just going to stop looking at this thread every five minutes.
  4. Don't remember what it was called, some Carlisle fansite. Just said "Yvan" came on...
  5. Ole Soderberg, Conor Newton, Shane Ferguson, Patrick McLaughlin, Paul Dummett, Jeff Henderson, Kazenga Lualua, Brad Inman, Phil Airey, Joan Simun Edmundsson, Yvan (trialist). Won the game 2-1, Airey got both goals. "Yvan" seems to be one of the other two trialists...

Sounds good, hope we're talking to them again then...
  7. Seaman Dixon Adams Campbell Winterburn Ljungberg Vieira Fabregas Pires Henry Wright
  8. This group of lads................... Was that it? It usually goes "What we've got here is a group of players that...." and then "what he is, is a player that can give us something different" etc. But he just went with that?
  9. Very impressed with Carroll. Will be a massive player for us this season. Fought for everything today and troubled Evans and Vidic a lot. Very few players will cope with him in the air.
  10. Not sure Anichebe would come though since Nolan tried to kill him last time he visited
  11. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20100814/nolan-handed-captains-armband_2240137_2121924 Don't see why Smith has been appointed vice-captain as he seems to be Hughtons 4th choice for centre mid..?
  12. How is he better than Rooney? You think Fergie should sell Rooney and go all out for Ibrahimovic then? Thats not what he's saying is it? He thinks Ibrahimovic is a better player than Rooney, and I'm prepared to agree with him. Ibrahimovic is (by far) the better player when he is arsed, however, Rooney is more consistent so its a case of getting the better out of the player and I dont think Fergie could get the best out of Ibrahimovic with the style of play he prefer. So Rooney plays better week in, week out and has a better attitude, I think it's fair to say Rooney is the better player. I wouldn't agree with that. Rooney is more consistent, that might be true, but Zlatan at his best is the better player imo. Just look at what he did to the Serie A under Mourinho. Barcelona has been a "bad" move for him so far, yet he had a fairly good season on the back of some unfair expectations from the most stupid transfer deal ever made.
  13. How is he better than Rooney? You think Fergie should sell Rooney and go all out for Ibrahimovic then? No, is that the alternative? My point is, living in England for the past six months and listening to the huge amount of praise Rooney recieves from all over, and the equal amount of negative talk surrounding Zlatan, I think the rest of Europe is of another opinion.
  14. He's class. Better than Rooney, don't understand why he still isn't rated in England. Anyway, he's def staying at Barcelona.

http://www.le10sport.com/Football/Ligue1/Ben-Arfa-ne-sentraine-plus-Dassier-senerve-120838649.html Says Dassier has called a press conference tonight if I'm not mistaken

Anyone seen this from Dassier? http://www.goal.com/fr/news/33/transferts/2010/08/12/2067675/transferts-om-dassier-ben-arfa-reste-au-club Something like, Newcastle would have to buy him, it's their problem, I'm not sure if it's a good move for him as they used to be good...but now he should take a closer look at them.

    So that's your official thought?
  18. Just had a look through the pics on the official site. Who's the ginger in 3rd, 5th and last pic (among others)?
  19. Also, like bodson said; this generation is mint. Behrang Safari will rival Enrique for "Best left back in the world" in the years to come.
  20. Sweden very impressive v Scotland. Very entertaining football. Scotland offered nothing in the last third though. Ibrahimovic is perfect for the centre forward role in Erik Hamréns 4-2-3-1, and judging from today and the previous games we've played under Hamrén both Emir Bajrami & Ola Toivonen are both going to be big players for us.

He's denied every single transfer story this summe. All these rumours definately have some kind of a relation to what is actually going on. Of course contact has been made.
  22. Adam Campbell won "MVP", well done to him. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20100808/campbell-stars-for-magpies_2240137_2115071
