No, this is the beginning of the definite end. At least until Ashley sells up.

Hughton. New owners, bring Hughton back.

This is beyond the worst imaginable. Surely it has to do with something else than results.

Best manager since SBR, hope he goes on to a job where he is properly appreciated.

Is this a bad dream?

The balance today was nowhere to be seen, they played the same throughball in the middle all the time. We need Barton and Nolan back asap. Due an upturn in form now to avoid the drop zone before Christmas. Very important to get something from Liverpool and Birmingham. It should also be obvious to him that Shola offers far less than Ranger.

I get the feeling that we'll turn up for almost every game with Hughton. In recent years, with Roeder, Souness, Kinnear, Fat Sam etc. there were games where you could see from the first minute that we were going to get battered, but this side is different, much down to the work of CH. I don't know what he is doing but this team has so much more fight in it than many of the other Newcastle sides that I've seen. It is going to become incredibly important come the end of the season.

I've said 12th from the start. If we avoid injuries on Carroll and Tioté, and get Ben Arfa back earlier than expected, we might end up higher. Don't think we'll have any trouble staying up. In fact, I challenge God to send us down.

Same here, probably the best football experience of my life. Says more about the amount of games I've managed to attend than the actual game, but that moment was pure joy. My cellphone flew out of my pocket and ended up four or five rows forward while celebrating. -
Would be very nice if he can be another of the players that improve and mature under Hughton. A spine consisting of him, Coloccini, Tioté, Barton and Carroll really is something to build on.

I think Iniesta is my number one in the world atm. The perfect footballer for me. Play as if he was from another dimension, looks like he's come back from the future to illustrate how football will be played in 50 years time.

The Norwegian commentators and studio expeerts seem to absolutely love him, it's nice. Same thing in Sweden. Jonas Olsson from WBA was in the studio and the heaped praise on him, even spent a minute or two looking at extracts from his performance. Olsson went on about how good he is going forward etc. -

That leap when he played Shola in towards the end of the 1st half today was unreal. My mates slated me for celebrating it like a goal.. Surely one of the best headers in European football atm. -
Looked super fat, and did very well today.

This is so shit -
I think we're a mixture of the Blackburn/Stoke approach and the way Everton play their football. Very intense in midfield with a lot of energy and patient passing moves that usually sees us get balls into the box for Carroll or Shola. Having Carroll's aerial ability makes us a bit prone to abandon that and go route one, but there's nothing wrong with that as long as we don't forget how to play the way we did at Everton for example; not giving the ball away and keep up the intensity in midfield for 90 mins. Wouldn't say Blackburn won yesterday due to our style of play or theirs. Individual error from Tioté and then poor defending for the second. It's not as if they outsmarted us och didn't suit us. Anyone would struggle to keep possession flowing against six defenders.
