  1. All they do is lie and mislead themselves. It's fucking pathetic.
  2. Incredibly depressing and equally accurate.
  3. Of all the things I hate Pardew for, this will be the one. This will never be forgiven.
  4. From an outside, emotionally detached perspective, Ashley's exploitation of the blind loyalty of supporters is actually interesting. It's a unique discrepancy really, having the option to just toy with your customer's loyalty in whatever way you want. I work in a Loyalty Management company (similar to DunnHumby and Aimia, the companies behind Tesco's loyalty scheme and the Nectar programme). This phenomenon has been discussed many times. Not Ashley and NUFC, but the contradiction of sporting institutions and fans versus customers. Fans are supporters of the clubs crest, which has turned into a brand rather than something that represents the football club. Ashley has been gradually removing the agenda of winning football matches from the product, instead it's become about increasing consumption and offering "affordable football" (Llambias words) - just like Sports Direct, where it's affordable, cheap and appealing to people's pockets rather than hearts. Bundling of prices, products and offers, all with one aim; to increase consumption and customer engagement. But this is where he's missing the point. The substance of this particular audience isn't the added values in the perifery of NUFC; the return for their/our loyalty lies in the core value of NUFC - i.e. sporting success.
  5. First time I've seen them critisising him for being Ashley's man. Next step will be questioning the ridiculously obvious clusterfuck of tactics and selections.

  7. Read somewhere he has a chance for Villa.
  8. At least Hughton had the ability to motivate his players, there was some sort of pride in the performances of his team. Maybe he wasn't the long term answer, but I'd argue he was a shit load better at what he does than Pardew. The way we thumped opposition in the Championship AND Premier League under CH, it would never, ever happen under Pardew. If Barnsley came to SJP, he'd try and lock down the 1-0 lead. Not go on and murder them 6-1.
  9. Our shit movement in the final third turns even more shit when he plays. First half at Norwich was a good example of what could be if people moved, he picked out some very good runs from Sammy, Sissoko and Debuchy if I'm not mistaken.
  10. I'd go: Who cares Papa John-Phil Neville-Nothingness-Sports Direct Wonga-Pardew AffordableFootball-Science-Phil Neville Substantial striker
  11. Which one of them is supposed to be quick? Cissé wouldn't get away from Williamson.
  12. Sports Direct's share value has increased 22 times since 2008 after experiencing a rocky start to their life on the exchanges. Might be other reasons as well, but I think NUFC has been very, very good for his SD aspirations.
  13. This, and playing it without ordinairy wingers who can't cross - it's useless.
  14. They'll never win, they can't because they're not part of the Newcastle United I fell in love with. But they've temporarily killed NUFC and subsequently my affection.
  15. Some fans seem confined to the fact that Vincent Tan or Venkys are the compulsory owners in line after Ashley. Apart from the mega rich Chelsea and Manchester City, I look at Arsenal, Manchester United, Everton, Liverpool, Swansea, Southampton and Tottenham as clubs who are making sensible appointments and progressing with the help of strategic direction and sporting ambition. We really, really should be able to do the same. In fact, I look at those clubs and think that it's probably going to take a f***ing lot for someone to come in and make us feel worse than this. We do not have to become Cardiff or Hull or Leeds or Coventry.
  16. Is he? I saw a tweet just now where he's saying the problems are the same as last year and then were solved by signing players. The implication being none of it is pardew's fault. Again. Nah, he's saying that Pardew's shiteness was masked by the new signings and will be again if we spend in the summer. Was that Douglas' view or is he claiming that the board are thinking along those lines? His view. He added that he doesn't expect any action with the current agenda/ambition.
  17. Those who were there last night, any indication of how people are approaching the Villa game? Perfect timing for a boycott.
  18. Same here, I usually jump up and down and drink tea to calm myself down. But nothing, absolutely nothing happens anymore. I wasn't excited at our chances, wasn't angry with the players, wasn't angry with Pardew. Just completely numb.
  19. Double-left-back-substitution. Santon for Dummett, then Dummett for Haïdara.
  20. Bump. I think they've done me here. I don't feel anything now, and I've struggled since last spring when we lost to the mackems and Liverpool at SJP. Pardew staying on then meant they didn't care. Been a fan since 1996, been to games home and away, even in the Championship, watched pretty much every game since 2001. In other words, I've been through some bad and dark times, but nothing compares to this. Relegation was one thing, incredible sadness and fear for what would happen to us. But this? Completely drained of emotion and any sort of joy. There's absolutely no point in this.
  21. Nothing matters with regards to him losing the dressing room etc. We're 9th and Ashley has a manager capabel of keeping us in the Premier League on a presumably low salary. He's not going anywhere.
  22. Drained of ability and confidence.
  23. Colback did too. Anybody would against this deflated sack of shit.
