  1. Still livid I didn't go to Bruges or Bordeaux. Away games in the Championship is one the best things I've ever done. I'd imagine Europe adds another dimension. Spoke to a Bordeaux fan the other day, Swede who's moved down there. Said our fans looked to enjoy ourselves more than any other team that's come there despite losing 3-0. Also said Gouffran was progressing well when we took him and is the most honest player you'll find and that Obertan should not play professionally. They were shocked when Manchester Utd came for him.
  2. So how much is down to SD not paying here? From £27,6m to £13,8m is staggering.
  3. When Solano made it 4-3 against Leeds I ran through my parents' apartment really fast and couldn't stop when there was a sofa approaching, so I started sliding until the wooden floor let go and I had a massive splinter through my foot. Couldn't walk properly for weeks. Pretty sure I almost had a heart attack after Bellamy vs Feyenoord. My mother wanted me to go to a doctor cause my whole body was pulsating in a really weird way for three hours afterwards. I was 14. When I finally calmed down she wanted me to see a psychologist.
  4. The change in the papers mood towards Ashley is obviously very different. Appreciate that they're finally going for him for real, but there had to be a personal agenda for them to speak clearly? That's sad.
  5. Niclas Alexandersson vs England in the 2002 WC Alexander Östlund vs Arjen Robben in the 2004 Euro's Mark Crossely at SJP is still about the most insane I've seen.

If it would happen it would be one step closer to some sort of meaningful change, which is all I care about. Don't care whether we're shit under Pardew or Kinnear.

    Paul Dummett

6 year deal? Want him to stay, but why do we have to keep every young player for 100 years? Look at the Ranger situation. Very few of them will come really good.
  8. No chance. Fear implosion. Lot's of pressure and negativity (rightfully). This team and manager haven't responded well to that previously.
  9. This is the truth. He's spot on in regards to the running of the club but I don't recall seeing him being critical of Pardew at all. He's largely avoided the issue with Pardew in the past year and rather focused on the wider context of what's happening, preserving the values that are quickly being detatched from the club, lots of references to Sir Bobby etc. But in order for him to have a functional relationship with the first team manager and consequently cover first team issues, I understand why he's held back. In private, I'd be very surprised if he isn't hating on the entire regime, Pardew included. He's been very honest in his treatment and telling of Ashley for many years. For example, I remember him writing an alternative letter to the supporters when we went down, rather than the one Ashley wrote, which was outstanding.
  10. Hopefully this will have the media turn on him and Pardew for real. That'll sway the last cliques of supporters as well and they'd be in for an almighty shitstorm.

    Alan Pardew

Whatever needs to happen at the club, the removal of this fucking imbecile is the first thing on the agenda. I can't even look at him anymore without wanting to fucking vomit.
  12. Yesterday's loss didn't feel the way it should have. Apathy has gone into something else. I do not recognize the Newcastle United I fell in love with and it's fucking killing me.
  13. Looking more and more like his old self.
  14. Amazed at how they find ways to fuck up even worse all the time.
  15. Scott Wilson ‏@Scottwilsonecho 4s Some surprise team news from Alan Pardew at #NUFC - Fabricio Coloccini has a chance of making the derby. "He's had a really good week." Too bad. Liked this thread when he was out forever, a bad captain and should be replaced.
  16. And how's Streete coming along? Pardew was bigging him up two years ago as well.
  17. The way we handle our prospects I wouldn't hope for much. Campbell has to go out in January.
  18. I feel honoured to have lived through the Zlatan years of Swedish football. We'll never see anything like him.
  19. Zlatan's third goal... Lets just end football.
  20. Not saying he prevents it at all times (Bolton 1-5, Spurs 0-5, Arsenal 3-7, Man City 0-4 says otherwise), but looking back, there is a significant difference to us with him in the side.
  21. Colo's influence on our defensive resilience in the past three years is not to be underestimated. We've often capitulated when he hasn't played.
  22. Mapou will come good, I'm sure. However, Coloccini's technique and ability on the ball (consequent calming influence) will take a lot of time and effort to replace.
