Douglas just tweeted a couple of things regarding this. Apparently they've met three times since QPR and "strong vibes" from the club that AP isn't under any threat at all.
I need to sign my mind out of this shit for a while. The fucking cretin is going to drag us down with him. Haven't been this frustrated with the club before.
“I think it’s been a year where Vurnon’s had to adapt in a team that’s not done well and wasn’t playing its best football.
“He’s suffered because of the injuries we’ve had as much as everybody else."
Don't know why I even bother but usually the twitter meltdown leads to journalists etc. checking with their sources.
There's hope until Douglas/Ryder etc. comes out with something. They're quiet so far.
Absurd that they, Sunderland, Reading, Southampton and QPR all have made changes despite having ambitions that didn't include Champions League qualification nor buying players for £17m the year before.
Fucking horrendous.
He called Ashley brave for not selling anyone last summer so I strongly doubt that.
He can still fuck off with those comments, as usual. The biggest coward I've seen at the club, everything about him revolves around fear.
Spurs will thrive under Villas-Boas. They need one or two strikers and some more goals from midfield. Got all the basics of a great team there, both quality wise and in depth. They'll most likely replace Assou-Ekotto this summer which will give them some more consistency to their back four. Verthongen having to fill in at LB has been a disruptive influence. Kaboul/Dawson/Vertonghen/Caulker is probably the best CB set up in the league.
Had a lot of money the whole time.
Many others have had that without coming close to what he did. The consistency and rebuilding of his sides, it's unprecedented.
God I can't stand the thought of him being in charge next season.
Fuck me sideways. I care too much about this but I can't continue to be angered with this pathetic excuse of a manager all the time.
"I'm pretty confident I'll be the manager here.
"I love being the manager and I will be speaking to [owner] Mike [Ashley] and [managing director] Derek [Llambias] this week to make sure we get a response and the right reaction."
No guarantees yet then.
