What's delusional about that? He is a gem and he will be gone in the Summer. They didn't uncover him.

    Alan Pardew

My favourite Pardew excuse so far is when he blamed the fans for spreading information about the tactics. “There is too much information going out of this training ground to the opposition and I am not going to have it any more.” “I don’t think I should be boarding up the training ground around my main pitch, which I have had to do.” “People are coming and looking through the fence and putting my team on the internet and giving it to the press. Therefore, what I have stopped is the real fans coming to get a view of us.” “That how I have to be, I am afraid.” “We need to give ourselves the maximum chance of winning our first away game.” “I apologize to the fans if they are not getting the information before the game.”

"However, the Chronicle understands that a full review will take place at the end of the season as the board and Pardew discuss the expectations." So Alan, relegation threat until the very end, conceded most away goals in the league, not a single goal scored from a corner, one away win and most long balls in Europe. Five games to avoid those question blasting him in the face.
  5. I'd have Bielsa or Zeman just for the enjoyable and romantic ride it would be.

    Papiss Cissé

I've come to this opinion on him: Very useful and special sort of player. Pure goalscorer but with the footballing ability of Inzaghi. The same assessment can be applied to his understanding of the offside rule. However, if we are persisting with the 4-2-3-1/4-3-3/4-5-1, which I hope we are in some shape or form - he might not be the answer. Cissé doesn't RUN the channels or drag defenders out of position. He's very opportunistic and does not really interchange with anyone. He's lethal in the box to the extent that he will sniff any chance that comes his way. He does not create on his own, he does not bring others into play in the last third and he does not work defences enough physically. I think you need that when having just one player leading the line. Especially as the movement in behind defences from our midfield is non existent. Not even Gouffran or Moussa seem to be doing it to the extent we were hoping after their first few games.

    Hopefully and probably.
  8. As much as I want an attacking and brave manager, I'd honestly take a defensive minded one as long as we do not set up to concede these ridiculous amounts of goals every game. Pardew's defensively orientated, yet we can't defend.
  9. It's been said before: if he actually cared, he'd show some heart more than 30 minutes a season. Travesty of a footballer.

    Alan Pardew

I think yesterday was a new breaking point for me. Whilst wanting rid of him, I've been open to him regaining my confidence if he showed any signs of learning from his mistakes. Like many have said; that game summed up what has been an abomination of a season. With players at his disposal who should have had us comfortably in the top half at worst. With the number of problems increasing by the hour and him not being able to do a thing about any of them. With him creating even more problems for himself with his gutless shit mentality, his continuous shit selections, his five different formations every game, his constant papering-over-the-cracks interviews, our shit set pieces and best players performing way below their potential. The football has been tragic all season and it hasn't mattered what players have been fit, if we've been tired or what decisions has gone for or against us. The problems have been there for all to see. Explain it anyway you want, it's his responsibility to avoid, prevent and act on them. He's done none of those things. He's used the entire season to come up with explanations and excuses, fucking loads of them by now. Get him the fuck out.
  11. We'll get cocked again, putting enormous pressure on the Liverpool game. All depends on Cissé staying onside when given his 5th chance of the game approaching extra time. If the other team hasn't exploited our defensive fragilties by then. That's what it feels like tonight.
  12. Absolute wreck of a performance today again. Our biggest under performer all year, what the fuck has happend?

He's really come out fighting in that interview. Fucking hell. It's closing in on the feelings I had about Souness.

Just seen his interview on NUFC TV. "We've got a free week to work on our shape to make sure we're solid going into the final five games" Aye, you work on that shape.

Probably been asked, but what was the mood around there today? Are the majority starting to turn on him? Today had me deflated to a degree I haven't experienced since relegation. Fucking unbelievably painful to watch that.
  16. Had a shit game like many others. Not worried the slightest about him though.
  17. Where do all these people come from? They're not Scando's you know.
  18. Cabaye-Sissoko Ben Arfa-Marveaux-Gouffran Just ONCE.
  19. Krul Debuchy Yanga-Mbiwa Coloccini Haïdara Cabaye Sissoko Ben Arfa Marveaux Gouffran PC9 At a stretch. But we'd eat them alive with that team.
  20. Manu (h) last season? We hardly controlled the game. Aston Villa away and Blackburn at SJP.

    Fraser Forster

I hope Krul remains our keeper for a long, long time. Rarely use the word legend, but he's one in the making.
