There’s an awful lot of talk about who replaces Isak and who replaces Wilson. Forget Wilson. We need to bring two players in to cover the goals we’re losing by selling Isak, and ideally one of them should have some longevity in the squad/resale value. We don’t need to replace Wilson. He offered absolutely nothing last season, and that’s being kind.

If I may, I think it’s a combination of things. You’re right, his stats are good. But he’s quite a good example of a player who doesn’t pass the eye test whilst getting decent numbers. He just…looks a bit shit, so there’s that. He also appears a bit stupid and is prone to daft behaviour. He’s also at Chelsea and none of us want to be involved in ‘bailing them out’.
