But is he also our best player that likes to have strawberry cheesecake with his coffee? I personally think that Bassong is our best player between all of our other players that are called Bassong. very productive i think he's got a pointy knob actually you what? even though he made his point with humour (matter of opinion i know), what the hell has enrique being our second best player under the age of 24 got to do with it? nufc needs to improve and compete now, not in two seasons, now. and if warnock's available at the right price, and kk thinks he'll improve our defence (i do) then he should be bought and played.

Still this tbh. is he gonna come here to be understudy to a young lad? or anyone? he's an established premier league player now
-
so i guess this has already been mentioned but there goes the 'colo to be officially signed on tuesday' that we've been hearing a lot, gonna be a long week this
-
you cant even understand wanting two players for every position?
-
IF this is true, the only possible thing that could make it better would be a late 'swoop' by the mackems for 6 million or more

A bit like the bible I guess this is way more plausible than the bible tbf Very selective editing there Dr.V - you a jounalist or a politcian or something ? political journalist actually, and i practice law in my spare time

A bit like the bible I guess this is way more plausible than the bible tbf LOL What gets me is how come it's always these tenious links. Why doesn't the father who went to the meeting, post what was said ? Or even the son ? It's always, my mates, mate, father, daughter, barber, houseboy, whatever. i understand your point, but the guy who went to the meeting might not go on the internet much, or even know about this site? likewise with the son? it has to get to one of us somehow before its posted on here as hearsay. with these things i tend to just read with a degree of scepticism, believe some of it and think some of it is bollocks, depending on the circumstances. for example 'ashley wants to sell smith but kk doesnt', that doesnt bother me in the slightest (apart from i think smith's shit, but thats a different matter), whilst the papers will have you believe thats a massive problem, it isnt, what would be a massive problem would be if ashley was making footballing decisions over kk's napper, having a difference of opinion is part and parcel of life, work and football. its how you act upon those differences that matters.

wasnt there already a thread for this? i'll be going along anyway, the tuesday confirmation of collocini is looking less likely so hopefully i'll see him train tomorrow

Last month I was online all Monday, all Tuesday and Wednesday morning and nothing happened. I went into a meeting and Jonas signed. well arrange a bloody meeting!
-
i wouldnt worry too much about that tbh, we're not gonna be gung ho but if we go out to defend for 90 minutes then KK's not our manager anymore
-
he cant even walk without falling over ffs
-
its looking like there has been some gayness afoot, yes
-
its gone into meltdown, smith's leaving!!!!!
-
its impossible though isnt it, we all want the best for the club so its easy to believe stuff like this, i just have to keep reminding myself that kev knows what he's doing so come the end of the window we'll be set right for the season , whether ten signings are unveiled on tuesday or not
-
its on the telly and we'll more than likely get a hiding

Funnily enough not everyone thinks Taylor is s****, personally i don't think there is much between him and Faye, but i'm adging towards the latter at the moment. I'm not saying he's shit, just at times he looks like so much more of a liability. seconded, faye's the superior player at the minute, i'd like to hear a convincing argument stating otherwise
-
this would be mine but i'd go with duff at home and against the lesser teams
-
the only thing i've changed my mind on is duff, i thought he was past it but he looks invigorated, its a pleasant surprise. oh and i dont want butt in the starting 11 at all this season, seeing him give the ball away time and time again pre-season hasnt changed my mind at all, just re-inforced the view.

i've read it now. i concur that actions speak louder than words but i cant fault anything he's said there at all. i found the bit where he said 'as kevin will tell you, the game coming up on saturday is just as important as the future' quite telling. my guess is thats had to be emphasised a bit by KK, but fair play, i'm happy with what he's saying, which puts him ahead of the last lot for me for a start, now lets see what he actually does. i'll tell you what though, it certainly beats shepherds foolish bragging to the press. Kenwrights going on SSN saying 'watch this space' Shiniwatra's on the fucking run, we're just getting on with it, thank god.

haha, what the fuck is going on in this thread?
-
anyone know what the crack is with faye? he's not listed as injured on physio room, has he been training? has KK even mentioned him? is he still alive?

Perhaps I may be too cynical about human beings, however I honestly do not think that the heart of a human being is portrayed by his actions. On the surface, they may want to create a certain image but deep down, that may not be the case. It is not difficult to appear neutral to a person, or be good to a person, yet at the same time, isolate the person using other means. If he manages to get a goal, the team rally around him... but does that not mean that Smith has indeed make a point to prove himself otherwise contrary to his incompetence image, hence it is a form of acknowledgment from the team and the fans. Of course, that same level of competent must be continued over a series of matches, otherwise, the booing may just return. Also, could it not be the team and the fans cheering for the goal and not for Smith himself? It does have a difference, doesn't it? Last but not least, I think it is a bold statement to state that the rest of the team will turn against him, it is safer to state that some will turn against him or isolate him. mate, this is a football forum. there's a philosophy course starting at newcastle college on september 8th that i think you might be interested in, that would be a good place to air your musings. but we're just gonna tell you to shut up and stop booing.
