  1. Well, he hasn't signed just left Arsenals training camp to undergo a medical at West Ham. WHU played against Lazio yesterday and lost 2-0, Bellamy and Parker both played the full 90 min and Bowyer was taken off in the 65th minute.. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/w/west_ham_utd/6911613.stm Done. Dyer to Arsenal as Ljungberg's replacement?! i hope so! I HOPE NOT! jesus christ, we need two wingers now, although Ljungberg was shit, he was still a player.!!! Think he might use Eboue on the wing? You've bought a new right-back and Eboue wasn't up to much going backwards IMO. Walcott there too, almost a new player considering how little he has played...
  2. Don't get your hopes up - not one of our transfers has been reported in the papers so far (well, Rolando Bianchi did, but only after the Reggina president confirmed we had made a bid). The Swedish papers also linked us to swedes Johan Elmander, Christian Wilhelmsson, Freddie Ljungberg, hell even Zlatan Imbrahimovic ( ) - 0 for 4 so far. Don't get me started on the Mirror and associated shite in this country. As they said once upon a time - Loose lips sink ships - we've tightened right up, don't believe any transfer rumours you read about City until there is something concrete. And on the Dyer rumour in particular - Sven ruled out a move for Ljungberg after widespread rumours that he was going to make a £6m bid because he's too old. Wants younger players. Dyer is only 20 months younger. Dyer to City? Pinch of salt.
  3. Doncaster 1-3 City Orgryte 1-4 City Carlstad 0-4 City Still have to play Charleroi, Shrewsbury and Valencia. Bernardo Corradi has scored in every game so far. Sven blatantly a miracle worker. Rolando Bianchi has scored a few as well and looks a really good player. Gelson Fernandes only played a little bit, Sven says he's better than he thought - but the cynic in me says thats just because he has realised how absolutely god awful Hamann and Dabo are. No sign of Geovanni, he signed after the team left for Sweden and he didn't fly out, he'll probably appear at Charleroi next saturday. 18 year old full back Shaleum Logan getting plenty of time on the pitch, clearly impressed Sven, looks like he's going to be next off the production line. At the moment it looks like he's going to start the season in the team with Michael Ball suspended.
  4. Just me or does that guy look like Tim Krul slightly fatter twin brother...?

    Luke Young

Sinclair didnt do owt here cos we signed him at 30, he was competing for a right swing spot with this young lad we had who was quite useful, played out of position, fucked his knee, and his legs went. Nowt to do with geography. Better example: Ray Parlour
  6. Gillespie, see what you mean, but he was a vital part of a rivals side, Taggart can't have been that happy with how well he did initially. And I thought Kanchelskis was awesome for Everton. No way past his best. The others, probably past their best yeah, but I thought Berg was a good player even if he was at the end. Semantics really, they all did alright, point being that just cos Taggart lets a player go to an English club, doesn't mean he's shite. Heinze is tho. :parky:
  7. That would be nobody. Kevin Keegan's fitness coach left to be a manager and Pearce never replaced him. Still, he'll be a great manager one day...
  8. There's also a few other players he let go that he probably regretted - Keith Gillespie, Andrei Kanchelskis, Henning Berg, Mark Hughes, as well as foriegn exports like Jaap Stam and Mister Ed. His acumen in the transfer market is overrated (Like most aspects of his managerial abiltity, the chequebook wielding cunt ) That said Heinze is proper wank nowadays so he's right to want to shift him.
  9. Yeah, fitness coach apparently. Any good?
  10. When Pearce brought Steve Wigley to City, Wigley recommended Pearce go back to Southampton to nick one of their youth team players. Lets have a wee quiz. Was it: A) Theo Walcott B) Gareth Bale C) Matt Mills The answer says it all about the pair of em.
  11. I'd really like to see Manchester United get absolutely roasted for the most blatant case of tapping up in history. Lets say, 100 points deducted. A season. For 100 seasons.
  12. City 3rd kit http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u120/atrinick/newshirt.jpg
  13. Erm. What. I'm struggling to think of a response to that. Lets just say I respectfully disagree. Benefitting the clubs, irrelevants. The U21s are a breeding ground for future internationals, they should have a coach who can teach them to be competitive in tournament play. And that is not Pearce - anyone who favours the short-sighted "shore it up and see what happens" mentality is a complete cretin, they should have someone more positive who can get the England World Cup players of tomorrow to learn a thing or two about how to be competetitve in tournament play without relying on "passion", instead focusing on possession and pressure. Simple. I see while I've been writing this Parky says he could do better. Think I'd probably do a better job than that muppet (Pearce) too. At least I understand that subbing off all your forwards is gonna leave you complete fucked if the opposition equalise. Pearce out. [/nostalgia]
  14. Aye, apparently. Hmm...if thats the same Paul Gregg who used to be involved at Everton...Remember reading about him during the King's Dock fiasco. Wonder why he's involved, seemed like one of these people who don't care about football one bit and are only interesting in making money. Wouldn't be too chuffed to hear he was involved if I was a SWFC fan... Agreed.
  15. He's a nice lad, Darius, and a proper pro, but I have never seen a player miss one on ones with the keeper as frequently as he did. Hmm. I don't know. Darren Huckerby.
  16. City reject Besiktas offer for Darius Vassell... Personally I wouldn't have been that arsed if he had gone...he's a top pro but he's a bit shit. Maybe Sven thinks he can get him to play like he did for England way back when...or maybe they only offered 10p and a curly wurly...
  17. "he's entitled to his opinion but if everyone spoke their opinions we'd have anarchy and chaos in the world." "England did nothing in that World Cup, so why were they bringing books out? 'We got beat in the quarter-finals. I played like shit. Here's my book'." Honestly. So glad he's gone. What a fucking spacker. And looky here... "But when Newcastle came in, City asked me to stay and wait until the new manager came in but I'd gone as far as I could there and didn't think they were progressing. I feel I might have stayed there a year too long." Loyalty bonus eh... The level of stick he's going to get at the CoMS will be Gary Chuckle-esque. And he deserves it.
  18. Alleged Manchester City and Newcastle target Ludovic Guily signs for Roma http://www.asroma.it/UserImages/13062.JPG
  19. "Super Talent" eh...but its Wikipedia. For all I know his mum wrote that. Still, cost nowt, we need squad depth...makes sense. Anyone know if he's any good...? PS: Yet another signing where the first mention of any link between City and the player was on the official site after he'd signed. Interesting way of doing things, bit boring but very professional. I approve.
  20. City sign former Barcelona player Geovanni on a free. 1 year deal. Been on trial at Portsmouth, scored 1 made 1 the other day apparently. I'm not sure how good he is but there are 3 good things about this deal: 1) We've signed someone I've heard of 2) We've signed a brazillian 3) Harry has probably got the hump
  21. Story in todays Mirror: Now its not that I believe this particular story...Just using it to illustrate a point. This way West Ham seem to be going about things - The stupid contract on offer to Bellamy, there was talk that they offered Barton way more than Newcastle did...I think its embarrasing. They don't even seem to be trying to get players to come in for reasons other than the moneys. On Faubert, I heard that the kid wanted to go to Rangers, burnt his bridges at Bordeaux, then West Ham came in and gazumped Rangers bid so he was basically forced to go there. Similar to how Newcastle got Owen. Totally the wrong way to go about things I think and as such I don't think its going to end well.
  22. Hello...Hello...City reject... Can't say I'm envious. I'm absolutely delighted with that one (Sorry Brummie). The number of wank players that get linked to us in the papers but are signing for clubs other than Manchester City keeps going up and up...Harewood, Richardson, Koumas, Konchesky...and apparently Mido is going to Birmingham...happy days
  23. Interesting that someone can name the top 50 players in the world and not give a mention to the current World and European player of the year....
  24. That rule sounds more like when you lie down and head it...like what flashy gits do in park games when the goalie has gone walkies...
