Niether are several other names mentioned such as Yaya Toure, Diego, van der Vaart, Carrick and Dunne. it would be hard yes, but not neccicerially unrealistic if we say went on a bit of a run and finished top half, spent big in the summer, offered lyon 20 million, benzema 60K a week and offered him premiership football, a big stadium and 50=60millions worth of other new signings to play with. if he wanted to move to the prem i have a feeling it would be to liverpool, but its worth a shot. Going on a bit of a run.....is unrealistic. Finishing top half....is unrealistic. Spending big in the summer.....unknown. Possibility but MA's pockets havent been flying open so far. A big stadium.....is irrelevant. Offering premiership football.....is nothing, compared to the champions league football on offer from other suitors.

Johnson looked off the pace and he didn't re-appear for the second half. Bojinov did ok, took his goal well and linked up with Mpenza well. His first touch was awful, tried a back heel, it hit off his knee and went out for a throw in . Geovanni ran the show for your side. Karl Moore impressed, but maybe is too slight for the Premiership. Caicedo is a diver, goes down too easily with slight contact, but has an extra burst of pace in the box to get past defenders. Gary Breen didn't impress and was often caught out at the back (his fault for the goal). Thanks. Bojinov back sooner than Johnson by the sound of it. I've heard some good things about Moore but I guess we'll never know until he gets a chance. Being small never stopped SWP/Lennon etc. Seems like Big Phil has a way to go tho, I thought he looked like a rabbit in the headlights on Sunday, he'll have to sort himself out if he wants a game. Would it not be a good idea to ask why he hasn't "shown the form he did at City", why "no driving runs through midfield", why "no smashed shots from distance" and why "no neat through balls" ? Maybe then he could turn back into the player he was. Players don't lose these abilities overnight and it happens to far too many players when they come here for it to just be coincidence. Because he is playing in a different team. Barton is no world beater, he doesnt have great skills or owt, what he has is an engine. If he wants to have a shot he needs space. At MCFC he got that largely because he was in a team that put 10 men behind the ball and played on the counter. (And your better off forgetting the neat thru balls, they were rare as rocking horse shit)

Like Ive said, we need to play LuaLua & Troisi, and Edgar would be worth a go. LuaLua & Triosi look positive players, willing to run at players & try and make things happen. They havent been through the crap of this seaon, and wont have it playing on their minds during the game. Edgar would be eager to prove himself and has shown plenty of promose when played. Its unfair to lob in bairns in the vain hope they will somehow pull a rabbit out of the hat. Say we played them v Man Utd and we took a pasting, its only going to have a big negative on their development. What development? They're not getting a kick no matter how incompetent their first team counterparts performances are. If the kids can't get a game at the moment, I cant imagine when they will.
