You've got to go for the menalists. Never bet against a mentalist in a fight. This subject came up on other parts of the interweb last season, Barton was the clear winner of the MCFC pub brawl (Dickov runner up imo, way ahead of Dunne, Richards, Distin, Isaksson, etc). But if I could have anyone? Edmundo. Especially if he brings the monkey.

Doncaster's chairman once played for them I think. They got promoted and he fancied a laugh at the end of the season.

I presume when you say "minutes silence", what you actually mean is "4 seconds of silence"......? I suppose its better than the 90mins of silence usually witnessed at OT. Not really. When that happens, its funny. But with this, some muppet (and there is ALWAYS one), is going to drag the name of MCFC thru the mud. > Still. We're at least making an effort even if the inevitable does happen. Going about it with a bit more class than that lot. http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/3437/aigun2.jpg (If you don't get that, read this.)

Tbh, I'd absolutely love to see Sven making wanker signs at the away fan. If someone has owt bad to say to Sven he'd never do owt like that. Far too classy. He'd just follow them home and Tony Yeboah their wife. :parky:

Whatever the merits of the FA's non decision. Taggart's behavior not exactly fitting for a knight of the realm was it. The man has no class.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_utd/5312468.stm Manchester United having a "winter break" in Saudi Arabia at the moment. And they just played a friendly, 2 days after playing a league game. And I expect they earned an absolute fortune for it. Winter break my arse tbh.

Steve Curry (Daily Hate) labels NUFC as 'Joke'. Are we?

Keegan wants three players in the window, ready made prem stars

Who wants to sell their good players in january. Would you sell Beye if Spurs came in with a big bid? And be stuck with Carr for 6 months. Would you f***. Im sure you can think of a bajillion other examples. You can only get players who someone wants to sell. Which usually means they are s****. And whats the point in that. What about Anelka? Was he shit? You can buy players in January. Just unsettle them first, so they get itchy feet No, but Bolton are absolutely mental for letting him go and are now likely to be relegated. I doubt there are too many others similarly stupid... I wonder how many teams currently with a sniff of Europe are willing to pack off one of their best players at the first sniff of a few quid. -

We were well wank today....I can't believe we got a point. Daylight robbery. Johnson needs to get fit ASAP. Its all so static. And Bojinov's imminent return can't come soon enough. Especially with us struggling to get anyone decent in the transfer market (Its all too easy to buy shite). Still, 40 point barrier reached. Safe at last.

Three teams you would like to thrash 15-0 (at least)
Dr Spectrum replied to Rob W's topic in Football
Manchester United. Spurs. In the Cup final. And I'd like them to go thru an injury crisis, Ricky Villa to come out of retirement to help them out, then score 15+ mazy dribble own goals. So we can spend the next 25 years singing theres only one Ricky Villa each and every time we play them. And Manchester United again. At Old Trafford this time. -
I got a few. I've met him and shook his hand. Nice guy. Jealous? Footballing for us the 3-4 Spurs game was magic. Doing the Rags for the first time in my memory was the best tho. Thats without the entire 2001/02 season, which was just rediculous. Left some great memories here. For Newcastle I enjoyed the 5-0 win over Manchester United for some reason. In more real terms there was a great game between City and Newcastle back in the day, 3-3 draw, Albert got 2 for yous, Niall Quinn got 2 for us...my favourite ever City player Uwe Rosler got our other one, and having just found a video of it on the interweb, seems Tino Asprilla got his first Newcastle goal in that game too...classic stuff - fat lot of good it did either of us tho. And also obviously the commentary on Leonardo's elbow.

You'd think he'd have run out of material by now

I said before the game the other day (not on here) that you were going to get at least 5 vs Stoke...just on the basis of what the atmosphere is going to be like I shudder to think what the noise levels are going to be tomorrow. (Good week to be in stadium roof repair i think) Glad we've already played you twice. ....so ya. I voted option #1

Fingers crossed for a bit of McFaddenesque wallet raping......

He was on top form there, had the journos wrapped around his fingers. I bet not one of them has owt bad to say about him in tomorrows chip papers. But more than that he definetly seemed to have some fire in his belly. He was a dead man walking when he left us. He was even playing 451, totally going thru the motions. Is it just luv for Newcastle thats woken him up again. Or is it the time out of the game. Thats my main doubt about this tbh, I wonder how much spirit he has left. Plenty there at the moment but how long will that last. My main hope is that he doesnt stake his job on that scouse cunt like Allardyce and Pearce, mugs one and all. He doesnt deserve it. Too much respect for KK and too little for JB, no wish to see him let down a manager who has backed him 100% again. I hope that was just a soundbite.
-
Surely they won't let him go? This is the problem for second tier clubs. Players already at one only want to make the move upwards unless they have no choice. He's not a good right back. No footballing ability. He's perpetually 12th man so I do feel that at some point he will want to go and play week in week out at centre half somewhere but he's City thru and thru so that won't be for a while i reckon. PS: We surely wont let him go for 6 as i believe the story went, if WBA got 10 out of you for Davies.
-
108 goals in the league...equalled the highest ever for us as a club (Stuart Pearce misses a last minute penalty in last game to break the record and give him 100 career goals...typical City)...but miles off the overall record... Best season ever tho. Some fantastic memories.

Alan Oliver is sat there in a Kevin Keegan mask with some other guy, "Welcome back to the north east Kevin"...I turned it off then...too painful.
-
Yes. Loan swap with the legendary David Sommeil (Not one of Keggy's finest hours that one...). Signed him for 2nd half of 03/04 season, class act for 6 games or so, ruptured his groin then never seen again. Couldn't afford £2.5m to sign him permenantly.
-
Big Joe surely? wasn't dunne a slobbering alcoholic till keegan turned him round? Uh huh.
-
Brilliant game...it was like Brazil 1970 vs Real Madrid 1960, end to end start to finish...... .... Seriously tho. Petrov the matchwinner yet again. How the fuck he's worth £4.7m I'll never know.

The best KK 'quote' was when he was commentating on USA-Brazil in World Cup 94, Leonardo brutally elbowed some yank in the face. His take on things was hilariously wrong. I can't find it on the internet tho
