  1. Logically speaking yes, I know it's absolute murder on our squad. But I don't give a fuck about international football and am nowhere near over the novelty of NUFC matches twice a week.
  2. I wonder if NFL being in London has an impact as well? Can imagine there being quite a crossover with fans who may have otherwise watched some (proper) football on TV so they don't want to waste anything good today.

    Dogawful Officiating

If it were most other clubs I'd have some sympathy but because it's Liverpool it'll probably result in an overhaul of the rules as a grovelling apology that wouldn't be forthcoming for many/any other clubs. It's a hilariously bad decision but nothing other clubs haven't faced enough times, sometimes with these whinging cunts benefitting from it themselves. Ah well, at least this is their ammunition to cry for the rest of the season about how officials hate them while they get decision after decision in their favour that goes unchecked to make up for the refs not holding their hand one time. Genuinely fucking hate them. I really do. Hand them a decision like that every week and I'll forgive VAR of every other one of its ills for the rest of time.

    Match Atmosphere

Yesterday was the first ballot I've won this season. Was L7 too, second row from the back. Safe to say I'm not one to prefer it. Only positive is I didn't feel quite as far from the pitch as I'd built it up to be in my head. Was just on the end of safe standing, far end from the away fans. Have to say it renders the idea of safe standing a bit pointless that it's going to anyone at random if the hope was helping the atmosphere. Barely anyone could've given a shit. Got in a little before half 2 to be safe, no queues at that point. Had time for a pint before I got to my seat but yeah, half time I popped in and the queues were worse than anywhere else I've sat before, weren't moving an inch so decided to go without. Absolute fuck-on to get out post-match, too. I had nowhere to rush to but can see why some people want to bail early when you just get stuck up against each other while no one can move. Certainly not the worst overall stadium atmosphere I've experienced though, especially considering the opposition. Made the mistake of a light jog up most of the steps, too. My calves fucking regret that this morning.

    Joelinton

Cheers. Hopefully not a massive setback. We've missed him at full strength so much.

    Joelinton

Just not match-ready or was it an impact injury? Don't remember anything particularly bad, just saw him hobbling off minutes after coming on.

    Sven Botman

    Sell him. Who needs him.
  8. Just keep letting him rack up the experience. Pleased to see him start in another win without putting a foot wrong that I can remember.
  9. What a cracking goal. What a cracking boi.
  10. I know one of the biggest disappointment with losing Maxi was losing a player that can 'get you out of your seat'. I know they're not directly comparable in style but AG is starting to be that for me. When he gets the ball I'm expecting something to happen and I fucking love it.
  11. That's the kind of call that is so 50/50 there's utterly no point relying on VAR imo.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I just can't shake how much of a dope Toney seems to be. Obviously Rafa didn't see the worth in persevering and Toney himself has even since said he understood why. But even though he's managed to become a quality PL striker, he's still getting done for brazen gambling, the 'fuck Brentford' video.. I just feel like at this stage the club should have the resources to seek out a player who could be just as impactful but without as much risk of imploding his own good work. As ever though, if Howe and the club disagree then I'll cross my fingers and trust them. I was sceptical of Gordon and now I bloody love the bastard.
  13. You mean you haven't got yours? Fucking fairweather.
  14. Liked Jambo's post before I got to the end. Had to remove it for fear of association by anyone that bites. But seriously, I love the man but I don't trust a single word he says when he's in a presser.
  15. Don't know what it is about sports-related pressers but they're always fucking shocking. I'm no tech whizz so maybe I'm underestimating whats involved but I can't fathom how it's so consistently hard to strike a balance between the volume of the journalists and whoever they're interviewing. That may be a wholly unrelated rant as I've not even watched this particular interview. Your comment just reminded me of the irritation.
  16. Not that I've listened to the Ramble for a few years now but didn't have them down as the sort to gun for such cheap points, especially if Pete's still about.

    Harvey Barnes

Only in the relative short term but it certainly blows one of my biggest arguments out of the water of 'best ability is availability' being why I didn't mind the switch.
  18. I always forget; didn't he originally come through as a centre back or am I making that up? He's always looked more comfortable in the middle when given a chance there from what I recall. Even still I didn't expect that last night purely for the lack of real match sharpness. Fair play to the guy.
  19. Don't look at certain 'neutral' subreddits or you'll be convinced all that TV time is due to Saudi backhanders rather than the fact we're actually a pretty entertaining team to watch for the most part. God knows why I've started being recommended some of the dross in those subs.
  20. Fucking mad a difference him becoming one of ours makes. Properly feel for him in the first clip now for some reason. Like he was some tortured soul that needed to be saved from the hell that was the scouse mackems. Great shift tonight.
  21. Couldn't give a fuck about his ambition if it's not stopping a clean sheet tbh. He might just want to stay and be a part of something special rather than drop a step or two down the ladder. Especially while it appears he's still an important figure off the pitch. I'm someone that wouldn't have batted an eyelid if we moved on from him for a younger back up but fair play, he's been solid every time called upon.
