This is the crux of it. Ashby always seems to get talked about like he was bougyt as a 'now' player. He's a couple of years older than the others but he's still a PL-inexperienced player that was signed on the cheap for potential. It pans out or it doesn't. A bit blunt but I think 'never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity' really rings true here. They've fucked the ticketing process from beginning to end this summer. I'm sure if they wanted to be callous they could've done it in much more efficient ways that didn't cause the uproar this has.

Seeing the topic of the away fans nabbing home tickets coming up over the last few pages, haven't there been measures in place since that infamous Liverpool game where someone has to have a purchase history to be eligible for matches where they anticipate it happening? So if that's kept in place, their fans would need to not just buy a membership, but do so early enough to enter ballots for other matches, win and pay for one, just to then have a chance in the ballot for the match they actually want however many weeks or months later? Seems fair enough if they keep that in place for particular matches as I can't imagine the number of people doing so is particularly consequential most weeks where there isn't any particular high stake involved.
