Yeah he really gave the team a shot in the arm when he arrived for the second half of Rafa's final season. Just the fact that he was prepared to run at players was such a novelty and even though he didn't notch goals or assists then either, you could see the work he was doing that led to others getting the glory. Plus I seem to recall him being a whisker away from getting that glory himself enough times that it was becoming a bit of a meme. I wonder if more time with Rafa would've unlocked more in him longer term. But we all know what happened next.

Catching up on the last few pages and Debuchy is such a weird one. Barely remember him for us at this stage and completely forgot him heading to Arsenal, probably aided by how much of a crock he appeared to become from then on.

I'm sure someone with more interest in the MLS can explain better, but from what I've read before, MLS teams can have a 'discovery' list of a few players that they get priority on signing if they become available. So presumably since leaving the MLS, Miggy hasn't been on a Discovery list at some point, allowing Charlotte to add him to theirs. I think that means they could match Atlanta's offer if they wanted to and they'd become Miggy's only option in the MLS. But they're not that worried about him so they're giving Atlanta a free path to him. Basically one of their attempts at levelling the playing field.

Think he's had an injury or two that have stunted his minutes so rather than fight his way in to the team they might be looking for a fresh start for him elsewhere. Not much point staying at Newport just to train when you could get a much bigger wealth of knowledge doing the same thing at home.

I'm more just talking about people thinking we're missing out on some boost to our bottom line by getting him out this month. It's become pretty apparent we're getting fuck all if he goes this month so he may stick around for the next few months.
