What was the general consensus on that '97 home shirt at the time? All these comments have me wondering if I just made up the reaction I thought it got. I liked it but had it in my head that it got consistently shit on for the centralising of the crest and Adidas logo and the shield being a bit OTT. I was like 8 years old and the other end of the country though.

Think you're in the wrong thread mate. Seriously though that one and the one with spikes were grim. Most of the Wonga era was dogshit which I'm sure isn't a coincidence.

Great. I assume I got distracted during work and never ended up submitting my ballot application. Can't find the entry confirmation anywhere in my inbox. Dipshit.

One disallowed and a penalty miss. You have to think we'll need to climb down a bit and accept £75m for him in January now.

Still furious here.

Using the West Ham match as an example, it looks to be the case. Specifically refers to 'Mags members general sale to Mags, Mags+ and Junior Members':

Top stuff, thanks for putting in the work.

You piece of shit.

As a resentful bald myself, I just assume most people in the public eye with that solid a head of hair at that age have had work done. It's how I console myself, anyway. It's just all too accessible to people of wealth these days.

Where are the Yorkshire puddings, you heathens?

Obviously it's just a minor inconvenience but didn't they agree to start adding a link to the match ballots from the home tickets page? Looks like they've given up on that in just a matter of weeks. Not that it was particularly noticeable anyway, just the words 'click here' in the exact same font size/colour as the rest of the writing so it took ages for me to realise it.

Due to the contract and sheer spite I would go in offering £25m with the intention of going to £30m max. Not overly fussed about getting him in the summer either. I'd hazard a guess that one of the cartel would come in and trump us on wages/sign on fee at that point. Probably why we were prepared to pay a bit more this summer to avoid that. EDIT: Had it in my head he was out of contract '25 and not '26 so I guess there's still a chance in the summer but at a lower fee there'd probably still be more competition.

Nice to see he's winless in 7 league fixtures. Does have a couple of cup victories against League 2 teams in there though. Good for him. While I'm in here I'm chuffed for Ayoze. I'll always have a soft spot for him which is rare for me and most players from that time period. Got unfair stick while he was with us, unfair stick when returning with Leicester and as far as I've seen has said nothing worse than we felt as far as Leicester being a great opportunity after we swapped Rafa for Bruce, when he could've easily become resentful of our aforementioned attitude towards him. I'd say the £30m was a no brainer/good business etc but who cares when it was going in to the pocket of the fat man at the time anyway.

Looked really tidy last night. It may not have come off but I loved when he absolutely rinsed his opponent for some space before bending the ball up the wing for Rogers. Shame it had just a bit too much on it.

That can't be true surely?

That would require Boehly to understand the concept of managing finances.

Looks like On The Grid should go Off The Grid for a while.

Wait. Did they say thay was in 90 seconds!?

I think it's just standard that most new pundits feel like a breath of fresh air. I recall people finding Neville a revelation when he arrived. Other than being a weird hockler Carragher seemed to be well thought of too. I think once you give any pundit such regular air time they're always going to show themselves up sooner or later just by virtue of needing to spout an opinion on everything. Some are obviously worse than others but every pundit gets their hate club and I'm sure Walcott will go the same way if he becomes a mainstay.

With Tino getting called up it's even more annoying that Neek isn't getting a look in again. When was the last time NUFC could boast four England internationals?
-
Think he's a victim of his own success tbh. He's still crazily important to how we play, even if he's not hitting the heights of last season.
-
Yeah but it's Klopp. Mitigating circumstances.

Peter Ramage is still on staff. Too late to register him in the squad?

I kept flitting between 'he's off his tits on something' and 'actually he seems pretty lucid'. Maybe that's the AI not quite being up to scratch yet. Give the lad a promotion either way.
