I make multiple. I'm in as long as I can nap all the way there and back.

Have you not seen the Diego Carlos thread? We're edging hard.
-
I knew how hard this window would be but I still can't stop myself being sick of it.
-
Still probably better than what we're currently working with. And I don't even say that with a whole lot of jest.
-
Fuck Lille. I just want him back.
-
Get it done. I'd be hesitant over a permanent move but loan to the end of the season to see if he comes even close to replicating his West Ham form is fine by me.
-
First player that came to mind too. If I see a 'keeper pulling that shit I instantly would never want them on my team. I'm sure I'm reading too much in to it but to me it smacks of someone that doesn't actually know how to organise a defence trying to look like they know.

When were we last 'well liked'?

It's a near-impossible balancing act these days. You don't want fans to be voiceless and getting them on Soccer AM back in the day, or even that fan commentary feature Sky used to do was quite a cool novelty. But now most fans that want their voice heard don't really seem to be doing it for the love of their club, but because they want a bit of the spotlight. Invariably making them an insufferable gobshite. I'd much rather get the gauge of our fans feelings on a forum like this than hang off the word of an irrelevant 'supafan' that's somehow managed to trick an audience in to thinking their opinion is worth more than other fans.

Love it when ManDoon goes on one.

I know I've banged this drum before but it's infuriating that discussions like this are being had considering the way in which he made his mark on the team at the end of the relegation season. If he or anyone else in the squad had the audacity to kick up a stink on someone else getting the captaincy, I'd hope Howe has done enough homework to remind them of exactly how he came to get the captaincy in the first place.

Saw someone mention in here they think they just used the Rafa discontent as an excuse to flog one of their valuable assets considering how little FFP wiggle room they have to make changes. Think I'm subscribed to that idea or it's one of the most short-sighted moves I've ever seen.
-
Normally can't be arsed to respond to rebuttals but by God I love you and your medium value wine loving arse. I would like to reiterate I don't believe Rafa is blameless. Love the guy but he was an idiot taking the job in the first place, and has only made the situation worse for himself. Equally, the club in general doesn't know what the fuck it's doing and it's seeped down to an appointment that simply shouldn't have happened in the first place. It's not the sole reason that Rafa had failed at all, but the reaction to his rumoured appointment should've been enough to tell the higher powers that it was going to end in tears.

Fantail with an avatar makes me unreasonably uneasy.
-
Think it's as simple as Everton not knowing what in God's name they're doing.
-
I love Rafa but I've decided we'd be just as fucked with him. Half the squad came out spaffing themselves silly over Bruce's appointment. I wonder if he'd have the effect the second time around, especially after his last two roles taking the sheen off his previous achievements.
-
Weird considering how short a time he was with us and the fact I was ten years old but I don't want Big Dunc to fail. Strange one when I'd love Everton to implode.
-
Infuriating aside from the moment of magic. The question is whether the moment of magic outweighs the infuriation. Right now? Yeah, I think it does. And that's depressing as shit.
-
I guess I'm gonna be that dick to bump but.. It's quite depressing how many times he's been mentiomed as if he was going to be a solution to any problem. Can win headers and a sliding tackle now and then but by fuck I don't want him to be relied on in any capacity at all.

Tbf Man U (even in their current 'shit' state) and Watford are two entirely different entities. People (somewhat fairly) saying we sat too far back at 1-0 today would've been more than content at us doing the same against Man U.

As I sit on a train with an extra couple of Carlsberg tins I really don't need let's try and put my thoughts in to words.. All in all this game felt like the age-old adage of fine margins. Referee decisions felt like they piled up again which is always infuriating. Big Jo did what I think any self respecting fan would expect of him these days. This man used to be a forward!? Trippier a class above everyone. Poor bloke must wonder what he's wandered in to. I understand the screaming for CMs but I still think CBs are the priority. Lascelles is just not up to it and Schar is there as as he's a ball player, not a defender. And that shows. Fucking hell every time they were behind today it felt like it was because of Lascelles. Apart from.. Dummett. He can head a ball but by fuck he can not keep up with a winger. Didn't he start as a CB? It fucking shows almost a decade later. In spite of the grumpy old fuck next to me I liked the look of Wood. The idea of being annoyed at him for his flick ons not being capitalised on by a team mate was driving me fucking mad. 'He's a fit Andy Carroll'. Fuck off you drip.

Felt like about the only player to be somewhat on his wavelength.

Was I drunk or is that a strange player to hone in on? Felt like he did his job until he went off today.
