I have absolutely no facts or figures to back it up but I dare say it just shows him to be the one trick pony he is. Built up SD on a foundation of tat and bully tactics and never looked back. Seems to want to prove the country wrong and that he can save the High St even though he doesn't appear to have a plan for it outside of taking on well-known brands and stuffing their premises to the brim with Lee Cooper jeans and Lonsdale sliders. Have any of the companies he's swallowed up actually improved under his watch?

I'll take what I can get man. Seeing as we're stuck with him yet again. Really just fed up with it all tbh. Don't really see how it's small time unless we're saying we want the takeovers to fail just to spite Ashley. None of us want this nonsense, but to know after 13 years of making our fans suffer that he's now suffering as well leaves me with a certain amount of schadenfreude and I've no shame in admitting that. This particular takeover fucking up might have little to do with Ashley in terms of where fault lies, but the fact is he's still our owner, so it's still heavily to do with him until that day is no more.

The A-List signing we never knew we needed tbh.

The only thing missing was an @. @ him Froggy! @ him!!

Got me looking now. If including friendlies it was 1-0 against Walsall in July '89. But the first competitive game of 89/90 was Micky Quinn's four goals in the Leeds 5-2 so I'll go with that.

As big an online presence as Apple. Apple, as in iPhone Apple You have to give them credit for the audacity anyway, they're not making do with any half measures in their bullshitting. I think someone else has said similar previously but I don't understand how this can be good PR for them. Surely any potential business partners are going to be put off by the amount of bullshit they are putting out. How could you ever trust a word they said ? I'm not normally one for James's conspiracy theories but I'm wondering if he might be partly on to something with the idea that they're not genuine business people per se and more well-presented grifters. As evidenced by the fact not a single thing they claim is true. It's not like we're looking at a generally transparent business who have said/done some stupid things in the name of publicity. Not a single thing about them appears to be legitimate. So in that sense, any publicity is good publicity in the way email scams go out to millions but it's a success if even just one naive pensioner falls for it.

20 million weekly views online across various social media platforms. Must have a hell of a Tik Tok considering they've got about 1000 followers across Twitter, IG and FB. Bothered to read their website for the first time and fucking hell. It's just as many buzzwords as you can fit in to a sentence. Not a single thing of substance. Not stating anything new here I know; I just can't believe this bollocks was allowed to gain any traction at all. But I guess that's just the media in general these days; nothing gets checked. If you can get a few webpage hits and Twitter likes then regurgitate it all you want.

Just saw the edited poll. It's not exactly hard, is it? NUFC has a proud history of players who have worn the number 9. So the debate is solely about those players that have worn the number 9. I'd vote Ba as our best striker since Shearer but that's not the question that was asked, was it? Although I don't know why I'm saying this because of course it's stan leading the fucking obtuseness.

Speaks to Inter and NUFC then settles on MLS.

It's smug as fuck but I just can't get mad at his stupid face this time when he's calling out know-nothing 'journalism' after the shit the majority have touted for the past four months. Who knows, maybe it'll also upset one or two people at Sky and they decide it'd be more fun to call out his shit management next season? That'd be nice.

I don't begrudge him that one tbh. Fuck SSN.

Ask them again when they've gone 51 years without a trophy of any recognition, 65 without a meaningful one, and 93 without a league title Likewise I don't understand why our fans have been trying to get Ashley out of the club all these years. We should probably keep our traps shut until we've fallen down the leagues like sunderland.
-
If that's aimed at me then no argument. Wasn't a grumbling just because it's NUFC. Just feel like every new signing 'initiation' at every club has been the same thing for as long as I can remember. I'm just a grumpy bastard though.
-
Bants ??? Hasn't every club in the world been doing this same bloody initiation for about twenty years now?
-
Wasn't it well-documented that he was close to going there before Real Madrid stepped in? Besides, say what you want about West Ham and that stadium but I wouldn't call them soulless. Certainly no less soul than the iteration of NUFC he gave a chance, either.
-
Not heard that name in a while. Felt like he was at the club much longer than four years and I can't remember him at a single one of his later clubs.
-
It's an 18 year old getting signed to pad out the U23s. I highly doubt Bruce even bothered to stop munching on his bacon sarnie to have a say in the matter.

I can't wait for the next time I see this thread bumped when Gateshead nab him on a freebie in five years.
