  1. Football. This paragraph is making my brain melt for some reason.

    Football pet hates

My argument is movie stars aren't forced to have a cap on their earnings. Tennis players earn millions for reaching the top of the tree. I know it's not on as much of a scale as football, but isn't that a bit ott for 'just' being a good athlete? If fans and companies are willing to pour money into the game, it'll go to the people who have played a part in that, whether people agree with that individual's input to the game or not. Ultimately, the people you'll have this argument with will quite often cause it to come full circle to 'footballers are cunts, watch a man's sport like rugby' or some bullshit. And when that patter is initiated, I fuck them off from football talks.
  3. I was wondering about this. Quick search brings up an old 606 post about it. So I think it's safe to say no one really knows. Surely, after a quick Google, it appears to be used too much to be a fire? Fight wouldn't surprise me.
  4. I say it's a premonition and I'm in on a forum bet. I know it's a bit knee jerk on the back of some promising performances for Bigi, but I'd go with this based on current form. IMO it's down to Tiote to win his first XI spot back when he's finished at ACON.
  5. Good God. That Adrian Clarke scares me. Disappointed that very, very little is being made of Pardew's own decisions in the media as a whole tbh. I know Ashley certainly shoulders some of the blame for the summer but that'd be the case if we were hovering at mid-table and the disappointment of wasting a year. As it is, Pardew has just as much compounded this as Ashley settting the wheels in motion.

    Rangers Newco

Well at least they actually got some money for theirs.

The man obviously hates Newcastle and the "Geordies" he repeatedly refers too. No problem with that plenty of others in the media do too. We get used to it. He is however, insulting towards Geordies, Newcastle and Newcastle fans. No need for that. Perhaps Mr.Liddle should keep his head down and avoid reporting on Newcastle for a while. The desperate tagging of Sir Bobby into that. Cringeworthy. And an out of date fan site has a European-based poll 6 months after we began a European campaign? Shock horror. He makes some fair points by all means, but he's still a cunt.
  8. I wouldn't say it's all Pardew. To an extent I worry that players are now starting to hide a bit and are scared of charging forward to make a mistake. But on the other hand, I still place a lot on him. As I feel it's his methods that are causing them to be afraid to attack. And while he's obviously not telling them to avoid the ball, it's quite clear he's not instilling a 'show for the ball' ideology.
  9. Watching on tv is bad enough. But actually watching us live yesterday, it was distressing being able to scan the length of the pitch and see not a single player looking for the pass. The amount of times we'd win the ball and if we just charged forward could've forced something. But instead they move the ball backwards or just hold it at the centre circle, while not a single one of our players reacts and then before you know it Norwich have regained shape and are ready to snatch the ball right back off us. It's no surprise that Marveaux and Anita are the ones that we look at and say are trying to make the most effect going forward. They've probably had some of the least training under Pardew (so much time on the sidelines for Marv and Anita not being here for long). Wait until he coaches it out of them too.
  10. Not if you are in the public eye and are planning a career on match of the day Pardew didn't get invited back to MOTD after his 'raped' analogy  Even just thinking of that clip has me hooting. Gonna go 'tube it now.
  11. Can't grumble. Pissed about on the online slots. £45 withdrawn with £5 to continue my 'build up the balance' challenge.
  12. Malaga manage 3 goals in 8 minutes to overhaul their tie. Villa 1 down in the meantime. Valencia yet to play. My three fold.
  13. Was hoping for a much more interesting story based around zebras tbh. May not have helped his football career in time but at least he's trying to get himself straight on a personal level now.
  14. Martins, 28 "21 or 28" was seven years ago. My God, life goes so quickly and football makes it worse. The age of 16 seems a lifetime ago, but Glenn Roeder and 2006/2007 Premiership seems like last week. I've missed Baba.
  15. I can see too much of Mario in her in that picture. Would put me off instantly.
  16. Maradona's looks like a onesie. The shirt and tie, too. Legend.
  17. A measly £2.50 on Everton/Rayo for £7. Still looking to just build this pittance of a freebet balance.

The thought of Ashley having that much foresight makes me dribble down my leg a bit. Alas, I just can't see it. Hold fire until the summer? Yeah. Actually having someone lined up? Just can't see it.
  19. And proclaiming his love for Leeds. Fucking scum. Glad Debuchy's kicked him to the sidelines.

Would they be on less pay though, i mean do we know that for sure. And to steal a cliche, 50,000 fans every home game, sleeping giant syndrome, manager wanting the challenge of making Newcastle great again blah blah blah. All of that is attractive to a manager, its just the two pillocks in charge that worry the feck out of me. Any decent manager will look at them and think, dear god. If we act quick enough I think we could get a good manager in. The 5th place, foundations of a good squad, despite the underperforming this season (just because we've played shite for about 5 months, it's clear to see there's the spine of a great team here). But the chairmen need to have some nous and balls about them. Definitely wouldn't sniff at a punt from a manager abroad, who may be a bit more detached from Ashley and Llambias' reputation. But I just don't think they'd know where to start in recruiting a manager that hasn't already made a name for themselves in England in the past 30 years.
  21. That's how it works with agency in most other fields. Would slash agent cunttery overnight. Never understood how it's the club that takes the brunt of it. Still got respect for Milner for just using the PFA (if he still does?).

But as i've said, and others on here have too, injuries do not mean you suddenly resort to hoofball. It's just a mental state of affairs the way he goes about things. True but he was also playing that partly to keep BA happy. And the first chance he gets to rectify that he decides Shola is better as a straight in replacement than moving Cisse inside and putting a proper wide man out there. All because he was scared the players would get confused after a couple of days' specific 'training'. Training that was based around a player in talks with another club.

Nice referencing to the sig. Didn't realise the injury problems. Seriously though, disappoints that the injuries have so well-masked Pardew's inability this season. It's not like we were lighting it up when we didn't have the injuries towards the start.
