Yo yo yo, where my betters at tonight? Any tips?
-
He's crap imo. Nowhere near the quality needed for a title challenger. Gonna be no use to us then
-
Only got one of those you mentioned. I got to 52 and gave up with about 10 mins left.

All depends on the UEFA Coefficient rating how many spots you get, so, you could argue that an English team has a better chance since more are entered. But on the flip side, they've earned that through being one of the best performing countries in the co-efficients. If our teams start performing badly, co-efficients go down, drop down the rankings, lose places.
-
I know the point you're trying to make, but that's the extreme point, that's exactly what was expected Liverpool have been a 2 man team for a few years now, and everyone was saying they'd drop down the league if they lost Gerrard and Torres. But still, teams do struggle with their 3 top players out, and I personally expect it. Not just in the Premiership, but everywhere.

Does Kint have to rib him about it for about 10 posts straight though? Fair do's laugh at someone for missing a point but fuck me half a page? Tiresome tbh.
-
Wouldn't want him though. Our fingers have been burnt too many times with Top 4 cast offs.

I don't get where this 'Emre was a pussy' thing is coming from. Is it because he was supposed to be a deep-lying playmaker, and sometimes the game passed him by? I don't recall him regularly shirking challenges, hiding purposely or anything. As far as I remember he was one of the most up for it players out there on various occasions I saw him. His only problem in my eyes was he didn't suit the mould of the team (him and Parker as a centre paring, christ), and his amazingly shite injury record.
-
Agreed. I do feel the Premiership is over-rated, but to say that all bar the top 3 players of all clubs in the PL wouldn't get into the bottom side of the Dutch Eredivisie, that's just extreme pathetic bitterness
-
f*** me. 150k a week? £150k per overhead kick Do they have to go in or does he just have to connect with the ball? Either way, I'd take him back on that.
-
Very good point on it. Considering they're so petty in clamping down on 'over-zealous' celebrations, you'd think they'd clamp down on other stuff that's considered petty, that would actually have a positive effect on the game. The powers that be, the world over in football, are a joke.

But neesy's saying the Spanish league has a better looking way of playing football, and therefore he thinks it's a more entertaining league. Don't see how someone can argue with a point like that, even if you don't agree. Think it's turning into an argument just 'cause it's neesy tbh

Sums it up for me. Wenger is, in a way, the lesser of two evils. His ideology isn't going to get them truly regularly challenging for honours, but they might still pick up one or two now and then. To get rid of him would be overhauling the whole club, and if done, I'd be very surprised if they could just pick up where he left off.

Anyone watching Charlie Nicholas' rant on SSN? Hilarious, getting so angry about Arsenal's loss. 'You can stick your 60% possession'.
-
Fair play for sticking to your guns, but straight out calling you a jerk felt classless.... Seriously, if you want him banned you can't have ever seen the reserves play. Scary. I want him banned so Taylor and Campbell come in. Jesus titty fucking wept! Football must be fairly straight forward at special school. No chance either could get injured with all the match fitness they have between them. No worries though, would be interesting to see Perch and Kadar partnering each other if the worst happened. Fuck me. It's quite sad that I could see that happening with their two fitness records. Colo, Willi, Sol and Saylor as our central defence choices. And the thought we could end up with Kadar and Perch The horror.

would personally hold off on squad indiscipline thoughts until it happens again. Willicini havn't exactly been known for outburts like they both had, I'm going to put it down to a bad day at the office for those 2 until they do it again. And Barton, well, we know what we're getting with him, sadly.
-
If Emre came back to England and done well for Liverpool, it'd be quite sad really. A damning indictment on everything that was wrong with our club back then.
-
Thank fuck he's come out with that. Sums it up. Don't get how people can be on his back. When we start slipping away from the pack into the relegation zones I'll criticise him. Until then, he's doing enough with barely any resources. I've always said we've got a chance of finishing higher and I wouldn't take 17th now. But if that's where we end up, so be it, it's still progress. Even if it is only a little.

Hey Neil, just had a quick read through and I'll be back hopefully this weekend! Let's rule the betting world once again!!

Simple question SEMTEX: Does Steven Gerrard play on the left of a midfield 3 for Liverpool? LM!! Hello I've missed these kind of debates.
-
That sentence sums them up really.

Zenden's just funny in that video. Strikes me as the sort of dance he got dared to do by others in training one day. Gyan's just a prick though. Nobody's pretty much got it dead on.

Have to say I'm with Jonny to an extent. Rooney can't be written off already, too young, can still come back. The other 3 however, Barry is obviously not up to standard. And Gerrard and Lampard are both the wrong side of 30, we havn't set the world alight with this 'Golden Generation' as it liked to be called. Why not try and nurture the younger players? I wasn't a fan with the way he done it, but I was in agreement that Beckham wasn't needed by England anymore. I'm obviously not saying Lampard and Gerrard are as spent a force as him. But it was the beginnings of a good idea, move on the older players and prepare for the future. Even if we keep saying 'so and so isn't good enough for the international stage', is that what we're going to say when we fail at Euro 2012? They're never going to be good enough if we don't give them a chance to develop.
