I hate to say this... but Phil Brown doesn't seem too bad a pundit so far. Better than some of the other insufferable shites on that show.
-
FUCK SAKE. So wait, I just heard McNally say on SSN 3 defenders, 2 wingbacks. Has he actually done what I laughed at in the pre-match thread, playing offensively for the first time in his life???
-
Best start to a match thread I've seen. Come on lads!!!

David Craig, voice of the Geordie Nation.
-
Isn't Jordan Henderson lucky to see what his future holds for him if he stays at that fine, fine club, with such a top quality captain guiding him.
-
Yes mate, somewhere in this thread. Hilarious if you ask me, even their manager has an inferiority complex and bases their season around us
-
I'm with KI. As much as he's improved, it smacks more of desperation due to England's lack of quality than Carroll being of international quality.
-
wind up surely ? It's for these moments I'm beginning to love womblemaster, despite the amount of shite he talks
-
If you ask me, the Manchester derby had more to it before the money. To me, now just feels like another 'big 4/6/8/however many are big these days' clash. Don't know what Mancs would agree with that tbf, it is just an outsider's point of view.
-
Without looking at a single other team's forums, I can safely assume no other rivalry in football today involves so much of an inferiority complex that one team's forum becomes dedicated to their rival.
-
What's with the distinct lack of midfielders? What's their formation generally?
-
Safe to say if Jol was still in charge and doing the job Redknapp's done, I wouldn't have much of a dislike for Spurs at all. Spurs the club isn't on my hated list, but Redknapp sure fucking is. Jol is a good man, and manager, though. Hope to see him back in the Premiership one day.

http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,43659.0.html His seventh signing You sign seven players you're bound to get a couple of good ones, especially for the prices paid. But the next most successful signing was Barton out of all those. Good transfer record?

Most of us did. Hindsight is a fantastic thing. Like Dave's said, maybe with Shepherd in charge it wouldn't have been as bad. Unfortunately, Big Mike decided he'd give him a bit of money in excitement of owning a football club. The tard just doesn't know what to do when he's actually got money to spend on players.
-
Next up, Fat Sam Allardyce and his merry band of anti-footballers. LET'S FUCKING ROCK!
-
I like the idea of that. A season of retribution. Hughton should just crack out a list of teams and people, tick them off every post-match interview when we do them over.
-
He can't. Hughton isn't the sort of manager to do that, and Krul has more than proved himself worthy of the shirt right now.

I think this thread is proof alone that the blob is hated by quite a few fans actually. You're right - he quite obviously is - I just don't particularly understand it. He's a poor manager - we sacked him - he's a bit deluded but never said anything bad about NUFC. Glad he's nowhere near our club but can't hold a grudge either. Never said anything bad? The thing that irks me is he's telling everyone that will listen that we are impatient, from the chairman to the fans. He makes out that he was doing a fantastic job and wasn't appreciated. And for that, I despise him for his pure delusion and sense of grandeur. I'd say the main reason he is despised by our fans is purely the fact he can't hold his hands up and say 'okay, it didn't work'. He won't even give a half-assed 'right person, wrong time'. Quite simply, he didn't get time, he was doing well, and we were impatient and too expectant. Just his pure arrogance means I would gladly watch that man do well with Blackburn, get the England job and crash and burn just so he can do it high-profile and we never have to endure his shite again as no Premiership club will waste their time with him.

What's the betting that just for shits and giggles he decides an attacking formation for the first time in his career tonight?
-
The unfortunate thing is this is the sort of game we'll lose just so we can hear more insufferable shite from this troll for years to come.

Had to pull this out from ohmelads post. Maybe it's not one for another thread, this one is about injuries after all... It's a very good point. Do people think our injuries will be as bad these days anyway? I genuinely think that, barring multiple freak accidents, we won't see nearly as many injuries this season. In particular, muscle injuries and the like, and general lack of fitness with Hughton. He seems to have got pretty much everything else spot on in revitalising the club. I think it's safe to say that forgetting a curse, it had to be management that were hindering our players' fitness in the past. So many injuries just couldn't be explained after a while. Let's not forget of course the amount of crocks we did have on the books, which is one kind of player Hughton just hasn't seemed to invest in once, thank God.
-
Fucking hell the man will never shut up will he. Always has to throw a fucking stat in.
-
Genuinely wouldn't be surprised to see Willi in there if he keeps this up. Just the many years of playing in the Premiership and the 'couldn't get a game for Pompey' stigma. But he's definitely been up there in terms of performers so far.
-
Painfully mediocre player.
