  1. Cunting? New one. There was a show on BBC 3 last night about the origins of the word 'Cunt'. Did you know there used to be a street in London where whores plied their trade called 'Cuntgrope Lane'? Quality
  2. Now that one's put to bed, could someone make a new thread please? How about a nice optimistic one like that Lloyd gentleman made?
  3. The question surely should be why hasn't everyone got one?
  4. Arrrrrrrrgghhh. Stop it! It's rIiculous!! Not REDICULOUS
  5. In some cultures, the breaking of eggs over ones abode is considered a compliment
  6. Left Back I don't get this idea that it's a huge waste of talent playing left back. It's a position which gives you freedom to get forward, you see a huge amount of the ball which he needs and if your full backs are attacking it goes a huge way to limiting the opposition's escape routes when you have them under pressure. I can see Zog and Duff/Milner interchanging on the left, both having the energy to get back and cover. In Zog and Duff we have two naturally left sided players, why not play them together and really have a go at teams, especially at home? Ths would also apply to Duff, when fit. Of the best full-backs I can remember, less and less are what I would term 'defenders'. Maybe Gary Neville fits that description but what about Cafu, Cole, Carlos, Evra etc etc. Zog is currently a better option than anyone we have at the club to play left sided, either full-back or wing.
  7. I would, too. I wouldn't fancy going somewhere else I was going to spend half my time sat on my arse on the bench and the other half out of position. Of the clubs that have come in for him, there's really only Sunderland and Boro where he would be fairly assured of getting a regular game. But that's like being asked to choose between lethal injection or hanging. Nice analogy. Personally I would choose drowning(Everton) as I hear its a lovely way to kick the bucket
  8. Errr.. Is that not lager and lime then? Personally I would be drinking neat meths.
  9. Can I join the gay weatherman club?

Last time I remember a young toon player doing well for his country and being hailed the 'next great thing' was... erm Michael Chopra?
  11. He was hardly over celebrating though, he just kind of stood there.
  12. I think we should do it, but bring in Bobby Robson in a new role, director of director of football.
  13. If this were true, Ashley would be a complete mentalist. The chances of it being true are none to zero though.
  14. Why not? Who the f*** measures people in foot??? (excluding oddball foreigners of course) Because others have another way of doing it then it makes them odd? Anyways back to the topic, if he's that promising.. i believe that f****** spurs or any other teams like chelsea would have a look at him. And even drenthe won't be rated at a cheap 1m pounds. Yes. Odd and threatening to my way of life. And I think you'll find that non-foreigners use feet and inches, this is traditional going back to the days when they discovered Winston Churchill's feet measured exactly 12 inches. We'll be weighing them in litres next.
  15. Who the fuck measures people in centimetres??? (excluding oddball foreigners of course)
  16. Yes but if I told you I'd have to kill you
  17. Save your love by René and Renata
  18. What is the minimum height for a successful manager here then? Why do you have to be so tall? Could have a point though, Roeder was only 6'1" and BSA is 6'3¼". Trophies here we come. Maybe if Keegan wore platforms he would have brought home the bacon.
  19. No it isn't. I used to just be able to give someone the ticket I already had, with no phoning the club required. Plus I have to rely on them actually sending me the paper ticket. Sounds like a good scheme though, I would imagine it should make things quicker if it works. If it doesn't it will be a lot slower though - I wonder what contingency plans are in place for if/when individual readers fuck up or if the whole system goes down. Chaos!
  20. You remind me of my 7 year old nephew! Cool. I think.
  21. No problem - anyone for a Stephen Carr v Cafu post?
  22. That's a spot on description of Michael Owen, tbf. When Luque is anonymous he can still pull a set piece out of the hat. Good free kick and corner taker. Fair point. I don't think I've ever seen owen have a cracking game. But he scores loads. Fine by me. That's his job. If Luque can do the same why do we expect more from him? We don't from owen. Aaaaahahahahaaaaa. Maradona next please. Can anyone do a post like this that compares him to Maradona? Please. You shouldn't joke - I was watching a video of the 1986 world cup match against England and, apart from that lucky run around a few leaden-foted englishman such as Terry Butcher and Peter Reid, plus punching the ball into our goal, Maradona did very little. Luque's performance last night can therefore be compared to Maradona's in the '86 world cup
  23. They did the same with Jason Koumas, apparently they have plenty money and will happily wait until they get the fee they want. Ended up getting 5.3m out of Wigan for him. Didn't seem bothered that the player didnt want to play for them.
