  1. He thinks Alan Smith is a good signing
  2. How is he a gun? How can a person be a gun? Does he eject projectiles at high velocity with the aim of maiming or killing? Am I old and stupid and this is some new cool terminology?
  3. Cunting? New one. There was a show on BBC 3 last night about the origins of the word 'Cunt'. Did you know there used to be a street in London where whores plied their trade called 'Cuntgrope Lane'? Quality That sounds apocryphal tbh. I've used cunting before though. Usual in the middle of the words 'Jesus' and 'Wept' it's not, in fact dozens of towns had similarly named streets. Smart arse
  4. I think the kid has a point, and I see where Vic is coming from too. If people need a spur to get them going before they will sing, it's not going to be a bunch of what they might see as kids or charvas telling them they are old farts and to create some atmosphere. I see no problem with giving people the opportunity to sit somewhere they know they will be surrounded by singers though, the club could help with some kind of singing sections too. There's no doubt that good performances on the pitch are the easiest and quickest way to a good atmosphere, but how many of the good performances of the past have been fuelled by the atmosphere, from when we almost knew we were going to win before we kicked off. Its a small contributing factor, fair enough. But the lack of noise and atmosphere hasn't helped the players over the last few years. Maybe a noisy, intimidating ground is worth a 5 point head start. Maybe 10, who knows. I'm sure it makes a difference though. So what's wrong with at least trying to get things going? At the end of the day, I would rather be in a ground with people attempting to sing, make a noise, whatever, than people who arent.
  5. What's up? It's a new thread, I'd have thought you'd have been delighted. I am! I meant I would be happy if our new academy prospect turned out to be Jesus He'd not want to play Boxing Day, though, would he? Its a big time in the Of Nazarteth household. Good point. And the African Nations Cup? Are Israel in that?

  7. Wow. All the other threads went quiet, and everyone posted on here at the same time, saying much the same thing. Cool.
  8. Looks like our manager himself could do the job...
  9. FFS! What has the size of his head got to do with anything? If we miss out on this transfer due to Allardyces head size I will be furious.
  10. Incidentally, when are we going to get a comical mascot with a giant head?
  11. We should have celebrity geordies working for us. That bird off Coronation Street who's married to Dennis off Auf Weidersein Pet could work the bar on matchdays single handed I reckon.
  12. He had a go at Warnock's family and made them cry

  14. Now that one's put to bed, could someone make a new thread please? How about a nice optimistic one like that Lloyd gentleman made?
  15. The question surely should be why hasn't everyone got one?
  16. Arrrrrrrrgghhh. Stop it! It's rIiculous!! Not REDICULOUS
  17. In some cultures, the breaking of eggs over ones abode is considered a compliment
  18. Left Back I don't get this idea that it's a huge waste of talent playing left back. It's a position which gives you freedom to get forward, you see a huge amount of the ball which he needs and if your full backs are attacking it goes a huge way to limiting the opposition's escape routes when you have them under pressure. I can see Zog and Duff/Milner interchanging on the left, both having the energy to get back and cover. In Zog and Duff we have two naturally left sided players, why not play them together and really have a go at teams, especially at home? Ths would also apply to Duff, when fit. Of the best full-backs I can remember, less and less are what I would term 'defenders'. Maybe Gary Neville fits that description but what about Cafu, Cole, Carlos, Evra etc etc. Zog is currently a better option than anyone we have at the club to play left sided, either full-back or wing.
  19. I would, too. I wouldn't fancy going somewhere else I was going to spend half my time sat on my arse on the bench and the other half out of position. Of the clubs that have come in for him, there's really only Sunderland and Boro where he would be fairly assured of getting a regular game. But that's like being asked to choose between lethal injection or hanging. Nice analogy. Personally I would choose drowning(Everton) as I hear its a lovely way to kick the bucket
