  1. I read somewhere he wanted to play and considered himself ready
  2. When does Lawro's predictions normally appear on the BBC site? Here's his pre-season summary type thing http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/6229296.stm Lawro's verdict: Even with Sam Allardyce at the club there still seems to be a bit of the soap opera about Newcastle. But they have impressive attacking power and will score lots of goals. The key for me is whether Big Sam can get them sorted at the back. If he does they might finally be able to contain teams away from home and qualify for the Uefa Cup. KEY MAN: DAVID ROZEHNAL Could he finally be the right man to partner the capable Steven Taylor in the centre of defence?
  3. He's not lying. It is peanut butter jelly time.

  5. Isn't he the most well prepared out of the team?, played in the Asia cup, and it was proper competition not half hearted pre-seasons. Erm - not being funny but there's a reason he is known as a fat lazy pie eater. He always lumbers around looking unfit but he holds it up well and scores spectacular goals.

Dirk is a funny name. Dirk Diggler
  7. Aye 2½ years, 1 Carling Cup in the bag, will get the push after failing to break the big 4 monopoly. To be replaced with Kieron Dyer as player manager
  8. Wow. I thought all Aussies loved watching people smashing the shit out of each other.
  9. Aussie rules confuses me, all that bounce the ball every so often, hand pass, mark kick weird goal posts stuff. The violence is cool though.
  10. They should sell all their houses, cars and designer clothes and that, and give all the money to Ken Bates of course.
  11. Im am delighted with our squad now, whatever formation, whatever system we seem to have plenty of quality options in every position. More optimistic about the new season now than I can remember for years.
  12. http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/story_pages/sport/sport4.shtml COLE MINE SAYS ROY By Scott Loney ROY KEANE will move for his ex-Manchester United team-mate Andy Cole in the next 48 hours. Sport of the World understands Sunderland boss Keane contacted the Portsmouth hitman earlier this week. But the free transfer was held up as Cole, 35, thrashed out a six-figure pay-off from Pompey. That has now been resolved and Cole is expecting to sign a one-year deal worth £32,000 a week with the possible option of a further 12 months. The ex-England ace has spent a frustrating year at Fratton Park since his £500,000 switch from Manchester City. But Keane is convinced Cole can once again form a profitable partnership with Dwight Yorke after their Old Trafford success. A close friend of Cole's said: "Andrew is quite surprised by Roy's interest but he didn't have to think too long about making a decision. "He thinks Sunderland are going places." p.s ignore the bollocks about Martins leaving at the bottom
  13. Will increase when Mr Bling joins though
  14. Sack all the sports science folks and just hire this guy. Touché Being able to detect sarcarm is important when contributing on an internet message board.
  15. In reality, and presuming no major injuries I would expect more like: Mark Viduka = 7 Obafemi Martins = 10 Michael Owen = 15 Albert Luque = 5 Shola Ameobi = 5 Alan Smith = 5 That gives us 47 goals. Then it's just about how many the others can chip in with.
  16. What has Ray Ranson got to do with anything? Good right-back mind
