Thigh injuries can be extremely annoying like, I had one that persisted for about a year when I was younger, there's a psychological element that comes with it too as you tend to not feel it at all until you suddenly tweak it when striking the ball... every time you go to shoot you expect it to pop again.
  3. Poor second half, lost our way after a really decent first half performance. No idea how Longstaff was still on the pitch at the end of the game, was incredibly poor on the ball and clearly knackered after 70 minutes. Good point though obviously.
  4. Hoy Joelinton on the left instead of Murphy, rest of the team as it was last week. Maybe Targett in for Burn. Max out isn't the end of the world and the high energy press will be more useful in a game like this anyway.
  5. We were long overdue a game where everything went in our favour, to be honest.
  6. Seen us struggle against 10 men so many times over the years, so refreshing to see us controlling the tempo and making the pitch as wide as possible.
  7. VAR is shite like, don't even care if it benefited us for the red card.
  8. By the sound of it the line up is pretty much forced? Not sure why people are so irate about it. Anderson was injured last week so probably isn't 100% ready, especially to make his first PL start. Fraser and Murphy are much of a muchness, except Murphy didn't play during the international break. Target and Joelinton have knocks, and ASM and Isak are injured. With all this taken into account, I'm not sure what people expect.
  9. Now that was poor. Can't believe how flat and lethargic we were, looked like we just expected to just turn up and beat them by default. No intensity whatsoever. Willock's end product is absolutely horrendous, every bit as poor as Almiron, Murphy etc.
  10. I thought Bruno and ASM hadn't trained? Even if they had, it's unlikely either would've been ready to start.
  11. Poor decision IMO, but tbh it probably benefits us on the pitch.
  12. Can see why Potter has (apparently) accepted the offer, as this is likely to be as high as his stock gets, but have to admit it's disappointing to see a team who looked capable of potentially upsetting the top 6 have their manager poached by one of those clubs. Will be interesting to see how long he lasts.

    Dogawful Officiating

Should just send VAR decisions to a viewer vote, would probably be less chaotic than the current method.
  14. Absolutely ridiculous again. If you have to look at it with that depth, how is it possibly clear and obvious. Fucking shite.

    Sean Longstaff

Some good passes today, but he gets bypassed far too easily and is unable to carry the ball at all; probably one of the least dynamic premier league midfielders I can think of.
  16. If we'd given their away performance I'd be disappointed if we didn't come away with a point. They dug in pretty well IMO and crafted a few decent opportunities. Similar to our point against Brighton.
  17. Shocking decision by the ref aside, a draw is probably fair. They had chances too and a good spell in the second half where our midfield completely vanished. Finishing was very poor. Sick of seeing Murphy coming on to the pitch, complete waste of space.
  18. That's the worst decision I've ever seen, corrupt as fuck this league.
  19. Anderson has had a few good cameos but I'm not convinced he should be starting yet. Correct decision by Howe to ease him in slowly.
  20. Can't remember him working a keeper with a decent shot in open play since he signed for us, just offers nothing at all as an attacking threat
  21. Pope was down for a good while during injury time like. Ref was shite but I expected it to go about the length it did tbh.
  22. No idea why he keeps getting thrown on like, he contributes less than nothing.
  23. Didn't take any set pieces after he tweaked his hamstring.
  24. Thought it was a decent performance all things considered. Away from home against a tricky team, missing key players, injuries picked up through the game... Yet we still had more than twice as many shots and dominated the ball. Not too many clear cut chances for either team though, so a draw is probably fair.
