This is it like, Wullie. Depressing that in our time supporting this club we've gone from breaking the transfer world record to being rock bottom of the premier league food chain.
-
£70 million for Maguire man, fucking hell can't wait for this game to collapse under the weight of its currency.
-
Mike Ashley has no will to sell whatsoever, if he did the club would have been sold years ago. Any deal that's proposed will have to be at least as equally-favourable to him financially as simply owning the club would be, if not we'll be stuck with him. I suspect he holds a tremendous grudge against us and would love a few "fuck you" clauses too if he could get them in there. Very unlikely that a deal will be struck IMO.

It barely even seems worthy of discussion, which is massively indicative of the state we're in.

It's sad that some people are still in denial over this because of the "takeover" like, especially fans offline that I talk to who are renewing their season ticket out of the blind faith that new owners are going to come in and bring Rafa back. He's gone and in all likelihood the takeover isn't happening either. I get that people want a bit of hope to cling on to but honestly that hope seems to be softening the reaction; I wish our fans would accept the reality and turn on these cunts properly.

To be honest, Chris, I think it's pretty obvious that views like that are a minority opinion, BUT that's the level of scepticism that this regime has created. The level of disheartenment on this forum is the worst I've seen it in the 15 years that I've been admin - I don't think I've seen more collective apathy on any iteration of this forum or the one's that merged to form it than there is now - but at the same time most people are still managing to be respectful which is better than it has been in the past during less depressing times. If anything I think most people have handled the continuous hope-fuckings by Mike Ashley fairly well, but I don't blame anyone for snapping at the moment because at the end of the day most of it is out of a love for the club that they're trying desperately to hold on to.

Hacked him m8
-
what a mess man lads.
-
as long as no one's crowdfunding a hitman
-
Please don't promote or encourage acts of violence on here lads, in jest or otherwise. It only takes someone to do something daft for the forum to be potentially dragged into it.
-
Seems absolutely pointless to renew your season ticket then boycott the games like. They've already got your money. The only way to hit them is to not renew at all.
-
Rafa's done an amazing job under the circumstances, can only see the club crashing and burning from here. Anyone who renews their season ticket is a world class numpty.
-
Remember that, in all likelihood, nobody outside of the handful of people directly involved in the deal knows absolutely anything at all, if anybody is even involved in anything at all to begin with... It'll either happen or it won't, but constantly refreshing on here, twitter and wherever else is always just going to be an exercise in frustration because literally everyone is clueless, attention seeking or agenda-driven
-
Just a reminder that the rules regarding abuse etc still apply regardless of high tensions. If you're having to call a fellow fan a cunt for daring to be optimistic then Mike Ashley wins again...
-
Who's put that poll up man? Mike? Are we balls locking it till there's news, if you can't stop yourself from compulsively discussing nothing there's something wrong
-
Same as ever. This. I can't believe the amount of people who are falling for this shit again. The theory that it’s done as a smokescreen so he doesn’t have to give Rafa a new contract makes no sense ffs add in selling season tickets Honestly, Ashley should be working for the CIA if you lads think he's mentally capable of conducting massive conspiracies like this I'm not saying he isn't going to fuck the deal over through either incompetence or unwillingness to sell, but I doubt he's orchestrating mass social media Fake News on a global scale mind.
-
Not possible due to character limit. Sorted
-
Astonished that you lads have managed 130 pages of discussion on this since Monday like, from what I can gather there's absolutely nowt happened to discuss
-
Fucking hell, last time I read this section we were on page 990 or something of the other thread sounds very promising this. At this stage I don't even care who the guy buying it is, I refuse to believe he can be worse than Ashley
-
Absolutely one of the main reasons we've stayed up so comfortably this season like, he's been tremendous in the second half of the season fair play to him for knuckling down even though he wanted away, many players in his position would've just gone through the motions and sat it out on the bench

Fucking hell that’s sad, urgh. Liverpool winning the league sends out a message to your on club they too can win the league without being bankrolled by a terrorist state. If that’s what makes you feel your own club not winning the league more bearable though hey, that’s what it’s all about no... Sorry, but I just don’t get this kind of rationalising! Let's not pretend that Liverpool haven't spent ridiculous money in order to compete too like; their squad cost about £550 million - that's hardly a message of hope to the rest of the league they're no underdog story like Leicester so Man City's spending becomes significantly less relevant in terms of deciding who you want to win it You're comparing chalk and cheese there. Liverpool's spending has been in line with the club's income thanks to some massive sales (not just Suarez and Coutinho either, they got £40m back for Ings and Solanke), certainly not an extravagance. Over the last 5 years, on a net basis they've spent less than Everton have. Fair enough regarding the net spend but it's still nonsense to pretend that they're some kind of underdog shining a beacon of hope on the rest of the league like

The two goals he was at fault for tonight are supposed to be the type of balls he likes to defend.
-
Absolutely disgraceful performance from him today like, pathetic.

This first half from Brighton has to be one of the worst Premier League performances I've ever seen like given their circumstances, even if we haven't fully exposed it.
