  1. Personally I think: 1. Steed Malbranque is very inconsistent in Tottenham. He definitely has the ability but his failure to apply it consistently in Tottehanm rightly makes him less rated. 2. Adebayor was underrated last season but after his exploits this season i don't think he is any underrated anymore. 3. Brown is a crap centre back.
  2. I think you will be proven wrong in a year time.
  3. Delima stands corrected. Thanks for the report Greg.
  4. Faye - Currently fully fit. Edgar - Currently fully fit. Yet they are not match of the fxxxxxxx reserves of Man City. Worrying signs indeed Dave.
  5. A proven Premiership player and our most promising young defender not a match for young Citeh players. Worrying sign.
  6. I think he and his team have been given too much stick of late. Yes calling a spade a spade is no crime. It is not factually wrong to critisise the performance of the team. But some of the comparisons are over the top. And continous harsh criticisms serve no purpose other than demoralising the team, the manager and other fans. For a start, it is unfair to compare Big Sam's Newcastle to Sven's Citeh. Sven spent 40 millions net this summer, Big Sam about 15 millions. Money doesn't guarantee success, but it is a big factor and with a manager of Sven's calibre, money does really guarantee something. Rather more importantly, Sven's army are all fit and playing, whereas Big Sam is missing Barton. Imagine a Man City side without Elano? Would they have defeated us? Not suggesting that Barton is as good as Elano, but Barton is meant to be our main player and it will always hurt when you major player is absent. Ok I don't like Alan Smith and have always thought we made a mistake signing him. But now he is playing for us let's give him a bit of support? It is not his fault that Big Sam ask him to play there. Would you be happy if a player disobeys the manager's discretion? Imagine Albert Luque refusing to play as striker? We are lacking creativity or attacking nous, it is plain to see. I am sure Big Sam realise this and is thinking how to address the situation. If he could he will sign a creative attacking midfielder on January. But for now like it or not he has to stick with what he has got at his disposal. If it means Butt Geremi Smith playing week in week out then fine, because that's the only card on the table. He has done really well in the summer transfer window, getting in plenty of bodies making sure that we are not short of players when injuries kick in. His tactics and his selections we might disagree but when is the last you agreed totally with any manager's decision? Big Sam has a good enough resume to warrant him some rights to do whatever things he sees fit. And he deserves our understanding and supports. Give the manager a time to settle. He may not be the best, but how many are?
  7. So? With the ways those clubs are being run they deserve to be in red and in the lower leagues.
  8. No you don't have to answer of course. This is a free forum and I have no power to force you to do anything. Just a shame you have no guilt attacking someone at will on the internet without evidence.
  9. Fair comment. I have no objection on people referring to FM for players information, but it is a lot more annoying that, given how bad image FM have in this forum here due to the stupid vociferous minority here, the forum police here attacking a poster for FM quoting while having no evidence.
  10. Apologies here if your disgusts are not directed to the people here. Just that you quoted a sentence aimed at the people here. Tell me what player stats have I quoted before? What's wrong with that and how's that irritating?
  11. I feel disgusted when people base their opinions of players from games. Apart from the constant FM bashing here, have you read anything anywhere here in NO where people base their opinions on players on FM? Perhaps you should feel disgusted with yourself for being disgusted with something that does not or hardly exist in the forum.
  12. The GUardian Excellent read, excellent interview.
  13. Freddie Shepherd's regime is the best time in the history of Newcastle
  14. So Smoggie or American am I? Or American Smoggie? Or Smoggie American?

    James Milner

I am sorry, I thougt Milner was decent today. It is the clumsiness of the much lauded Nicky Butt and the animosity of the Alan He is a good player Smith who cost us the game.
  16. What a misleading first post trying to blackmail the people who said we needed defenders. We needed defenders, and we got our defenders. But who opposed to the signing of flair players after the defense was reinforced? The first poster is bitter and has hidden agenda, that's why.
  17. The Guardian Excellent read, excellent assessment
  18. Shay Given Habib Beye, Cacapa, David Rozenhal, Enrique James Milner, Geremi Nitjap, Nicky Butt, Charles N'Zogbia Mark Viduka, Obefami Martins
  19. Danny B, not all Toon fans and supporters are like those you've seen in this thread.
  20. Just for West Ham, Rozenhal and Taylor without a doubt. Taylor and Rozenhal. West Ham don't have a Steve Howard, Emile Heskey or John Carew in their squad. Wheareas Bellamy is very agile and Taylor's pace could come in handy.
  21. Just a general comment? Please don't be paranoid, Baggio. And if it is directed to you, there is still no need to be paranoid.
  22. I am not overhyping anyone though. Same as I think that current England national team have players good enough to win world cup (not that they will automatically win the world cup). Other people might think that I (or others of similar opinions) are overhyping England national team, but this is what I genuinely think. Noble, Johnson, Cattermole and Gardner. I think the former 3 have good enough potential to feature regularly for the national team.
  23. GeJon I think you really have gone over the top.
