    Graeme Le Saux

Now the victim is guilty for being a victim. How pathetic you are.
  2. ? Me, I haven't decided yet.
  3. [c]Given Beye, Rozenhal, Taylor, Enrique Milner, Geremi, Zoggy Martins, Viduka, Owen[/c] I regconise that Cacapa is probably the better defender than Taylor but I would like Taylor to play more often whenever possible.
  4. Eih? I see you have adopted NE5's opinion on me. Is this another compliment? I can't take too many at once Baggio. Peace Baggio. You just need to say that you are the glorious righteous knowledgeable minority who aren't part of the "most people" in the "most people do that when they're losing an argument." Good night Baggio.
  5. Nice FM dig here, most people do that when they're losing an argument.
  6. Feel free Baggio. You can do what you want here, it is a free world. I don't really like to get into any arguments anymore on N-O. First with NE5, well you know how he is like. Then with Gejon, who just like you, jump in the FM bashing bandwagon happily "when they're losing an argument." And you. But I am still enjoyably basked in your FM compliment, I thank you for that.
  7. Heskey is not any particularly pacey though. We have Viduka who can do similar jobs to Heskey, and Viduka himself is a more polished and deadly striker than Heskey. Heskey, however, is a non stop hardworking non complaining non sulking consistent reliable battering ram, which Viduka isn't. Let's hopeBig Sam could do his best to keep Viduka motivated.
  8. Feel free Baggio. I take your FM comment on Northerngimp as great, however belated and reluctant, compliments. I would not at all begrudge you revisiting the topics.
  9. Gejon you need some reading and logic trainings if you equate "never seems to make a blunder" and "Never seen him make a blunder?"
  10. Funny, coming from someone who repeatedly indulged in accusing me of relying FM for information.
  11. Still no denying of LeazesMag this time. What happened to your vehement denial of LeazesMag last time? I beg you have lied and lied, misled and misled so many times you have forgotten that you are not supposed to be LeazesMag. Poor Beermonster! Shame on you on your stupid, naive, silly, discriminative, disgusting and hideous stereotyping of people living in Middlesbrough, and people in general.
  12. where did you pop up from. And I've told you before, boy, that I have no idea who this beermonster is, it isn't me. Do you still live in smoggieland ? Its no surprise, I'm amazed you can see your keyboard, clearly you don't see it very well. No denying of LeazesMag this time And you have a problem with Middlesbrough?
  13. If you read my previous post I compared Huntington and Ramage to Babayaro and Carr. I didn't know that you didn't read my previous post.
  14. I do know that Huntington is a CB. What are you trying to say? Just for your info I also realise that Ramage is a CB by trade, and both were played out of position at full back.
  15. NE5 in trouble, where are LeazesMag and Beermonster to the rescue?
  16. HTT, it is a long post some of your points you made I agree some I don't. My reply is rather a post on my opinions on certain areas I feel more strongly, than say, a retort to your points. 1st paragraph: Striker's most important attribute is finishing HTT. A standout finisher means that you are a standout striker (Fowler, Owen, RVN), of course unless you are unproportionately poor in other attributes. Chopra only lacks physicality. 2nd: I disagree. Some people are more talented, some less. 3. Chelsea could afford to turn away slow kids, because they select the very best even at academy level. I don't think Newcastle should have the same practice. If we would make the same stance perhaps we are only ever to get the second hand talents unwanted by the biggest clubs. We should take whoever has an outstanding talent and try to exploit this particular area or make him more rounded. The probability of talents coming through would perhaps be even smaller but if one does come through the talent level would be higher. 4. I agree very much with your sentiments regarding young players and clubs wanting instant results. 5. By the way, I class Shola in the same category as your Ramage. He was played ahead of Chopra because he was much better physically, and he was much easier to use and exploit, even though he is evidently less talented as Chopra. Still I don't think Ramage is any much better than Huntington in any particular aspect. He is not pacier than Huntington. He is stronger, but full back doesn't need to possess plenty of strength.
  17. Could you please point out the 3 players from Man U and Liverpool whom you think are better than Fabregas? Preferably midfielder cos it is the position Fabregas plays in. And why traditions and values must be buying English players? It may well be a very noble tradition and value but it is not the only thing which could qualify as tradition and value. And I don't see how Arsenal have whinged and moaned more than other clubs.
  18. I find it sick to sing Michael Shields ten more years. And Newcastle songs are indeed a bit boring, monotomous, uncreative and repetitive.
  19. I don't understand why would people happy to see Taylor go? Taylor is not just another youngster. Yes he has made mistakes but he has also shown what he could do. It is about doing the right thing consistently and doing the wrong thing less. Fine he might not be at the same level with Micah Richards, but he is not famous simply for graduating from Newcastle Academy. I hope he is kept in the club. John Terry and Jamie Carragher weren't any world beater at 21. Rio Ferdinand was much better became the dearest defender in Premiership when he was 22 but he has yet to fulfill the potential he promised so much. And I hope Taylor is played as frequent as possible as central defender this season without significant detriment to the club. I understand that Cacapa has a very good pedigree, Rozenhal has done well so far, and Faye is probably a better defender than Taylor right now. But Steven Taylor means a lot more to the club and he is still a player with massive potential to realise, unlike the other 3 either at their peak or past it.
  20. They are a bit further down the line. We have been eagerly waiting for the Arsenal "kids" for a good few years now it is really time for them to deliver. I won't discount the talents of Merida and Vela, but we would at least wait a few years for them to mature. It took Fabregas few years to develope from a bright young talent to one of the best in the league, even though he is still only 20. Eboue, Clichy, Diaby, Diarra, Van Persie, Adebayor, da Silva have already shown what they could do at the highest level. Pound for pound I don't think they are any worse than any other top 4 regular but collectively they are still younger and less experienced. Hence my initial question, how far could they go?
  21. I have 2 issues on this: 1. How much potential was Paul Huntington considered to have? It has always been apparent to me that Paul Huntington was one of the better youngsters we had (which doesn't say a lot given the overall standard of the academy), rather than a very good or outstanding prospect in the academy. Although I had always been aware of Paul Huntington and David Edgar, I remembered it was only after our resident Martin Jol mentioned his and Edgar's names that people start to talk about them in the forum. Even then the discussion of them was scant in the forum and I bet the very vast majority of the forumites didn't have a clue who they are up until they were played by Roeder due to the injury crisis. This suggests to me that Huntington wasn't held in high very regards. Compared him with Chopra, most people were aware of Chopra when he was younger. He was hyped and bigged out. Regardless if you did believe that Chopra was actually a talented player, and regardless that if you do think that the current Chopra is a good player, Chopra Was a much bigger loss for us than Huntington. I wish Paul Huntington all the best in his future endeavour but he was never much appreciated in Newcastle. It isn't a big loss. Had he not played for us semi regularly last season due to the injury crisis, no one would have moaned his departure. 2. As someone pointed out, why was Huntington constantly ignored by managers while Babayaro and Carr, despite being much older, weren't any much better than him? Why is Ramage kept and Huntington? I could only assume that Ramage is kept due to his seniority, and perhaps due to the fact that none came in for him.
  22. How far can this batch of youngsters go? GK - Lukas Fabianski - 22 RB - Bakari Sagna - 24 - Emmanuel Eboue - 24 CB - William Gallas - 30 - Toure - 26 - Philippe Senderos - 22 - (Unless he cuts down his error he will simply become another Titus Bramble) - Johan Djourou - 20 LB - Gael Clichy - 22 - Armande Traore - 17 RM - Aliaksandr Hleb - 26 - CM - Cesc Fabregas - 20 - Gilberto Silva - 30 - Matthiew Flamini - 23 - Denilson - 19 - Abou Diaby - 21 - Lassana Diarra - 22 LM - Tomas Rosicky - 26 FW - Eduardo da Silva - 24 - Robin Van Persie - 24 - Emmanuel Adebayor - 23 - Nicklas Bendtner - 19 - Theo Walcott - 18
  23. Derby should be an easy game. Beye should start and shift Taylor into the middle, perhaps giving Rozenhal a break.
  24. Even though I am not a fan of Real Madrid and hope they lose every single match, even though I am a big fan of David Beckham, I enjoy this piece of article. I love the Guardian correspondents of other European leagues. The Guardian
  25. You have Cacapa and Rozenhal who are both good readers of the game, and good organiser of the defense. Cacapa is vastly experienced and rich in leadership quality. Taylor should stay and learn. This is the first time he has some competent seniors to look up to. If in a year or two he hasn't shown any sign of improvement or capacity to learn, then get rid.
