  1. South America est 11 - worst headache I'll ever have Robinho, Sergio Agüero Ronaldinho, Javier Mascherano, Esteban Cambiasso, Kaka, Lionel Messi Lucio, Diego Milito, Dani Alves Rogério Ceni
  2. Who are the current best African 11? What do you think? Drogba, Eto Seydou Keita, Yaya Touré, Mahamadou Diarra, Jean Makoun, Michael Essien Kolo Toure, Joseph Yobo, Emmanuel Eboué Vincent Enyeama?? vs Euopean 11 Wayne Rooney, Ruud van Nistelrooy Rafael van der Vaart, Xavi Hernández, Wesley Sneijder, Cristiano Ronaldo Patrice Evra, Fabio Cannavaro, Rio Ferdinand, Sergio Ramos Iker Casillas No doubt you will disagree about the selection. But the qeustion remains: African 11 vs European 11, who will win?

    Walcott on Loan

Someone spotted Rossi's potential - someone lauded Rossi's potential - well if Rossi's potential is not fulfilled afterwards, maybe Rossi should have fulfilled his potential before his potential was discovered??? You are absolutely mental, Baggio. Why not you educate us how many penalties Rossi has scored, and why not you advocate a s**** striker to take penalties. Perhaps you will have a lot in common with England national team penalty coach, and perhaps Shearer was a s**** striker as well.

    Walcott on Loan

G Rossi Parma - 19 appearance - 9 goals Villareal - 15 appearance - 10 goals Hype? Rightly so. Shame that Glenn Roeder preferred to play a crocked Shola Ameobi rather than Rossi.
  5. And Anderson, and Scholes. Carrick would not have got that many starts if Hargreaves and Scholes are/were not injured, and if Anderson acclimatised quicker. And all the rumours about Man U after Velvuso, even Queros made public noises about admiring him and consequently rebuked by Sporting's chairman. Carrick is more than good enough for Newcastle but he is not good enough for Man Utd.

    Today's matches.

    Sign of good team.
  7. If establisehd premiership players are what Keegan is looking for, I think these signings are difficult but probable: Michael Carrick - Facing competitions from Scholes, Hargreaves, Anderson, Fletcher!? and perhaps Velvuso!? He will cost t least £15M but if we could convince Carrick that he could play a lot more offensive (like when he was in Spurs) then there is a chance he will fancy coming home, IMO. David Bentley - Pretty sure the player himself will jump at this chance to move to a more glamorous club. But Mark Hughes' resolution could prove to be an obstacle. £15M and he might sway. Peter Crouch - I don't really rate him, but he will do a job for us. £10M? I would rather have Crouch than Defoe, because we akready have Owen and Martins. Julio Arca - Good shout but someone else.

    Im Impressed

I am overjoyed Keegan + Shearer ------> Greatness in making
  9. Spoken like a proper manager - I have little doubt he will indeed make a very good manager.
  10. Martin Jol does not deserve such stupid slatings from other people. Spurs now look Spurs bound and Diarra has gone to Portsmouth - Martin Jol revealed this ITK info here first! Martin Jol has stated clearly that it is rumoured such and such players earn such and such salary. Martin Jol is onl reporting a rumour, and stating clearly it is a rumour yet he is slated for .... er telling it as truth. If other posters do not know how to read English please go back to primary school.
  11. Absolute tosh!!? Lyon play dynamic attacking football!!? Would you call West Ham football dynamic attacking football!!? He brought Karim Benzema into the team, because he was even younger when Le Guen was still in charge, and all his other senior strikers (Carew, Govou, Wiltord, Fred, Baros) either shagged each other's wife, lost form completely for a long period (under the very guidance of Houllier), simply not good enough (brought in by Houllier), or simply fell out with the manager who is Houllier. If he did not promote Karim Benzema from the youth team, how was him going to bring in a new striker to play outside transfer window? I have been an advocate for Paul Le Guen in the past, I will not hide it, I am still an advocate for him, because I rate his potential. I recognise that Paul Le Guen has not performed well in Rangers and PSG, and I realise that's Newcastle would not gamble on another potential, that's why I am not proposing Le Guen right now, how the heck could you use Le Guen to refute my points? And which "you" are you refering to? The plural you, ie the newcastle united fans, or the specific you ie me? We have been linked with soo many managers yet I have only openly been against 2 candidates ie Redknapp and Houllier. Where do you get the impression of me against every single manager we are linked? You are the one who is talking absolute tosh. Just for you information, if forced to choose between Houllier and Redknapp, I would go for the former. Houllier is still a better candidate compared to Redknapp, Shearer, Bruce, Souness etc. But I think we could do better and we should. Of course if we eventually recruit Houllier as our new manager he will get my backings.
  12. I do not want him. His teams are boring and defensive. He falls out with players. His buying record is less than desirable Team managed by him could easily be demotivated. If you do not want Houllier here please make your voice heard.
  13. Nail on head. Indisputable, unrefutable piece of work. Redknapp fans, wake up! The Guardian
  14. That guy Pato is greatness in the making.
  15. Matter of opinions of course. But what do you think? Fans of Everton, Aston Villa, Man City, Blackburn, Portsmouth all think they have the right manager in charge and their futures are bright. All these clubs have some money to spend, except Blackburn and Everton. But then Mark Hughes and David Moyes have been in their positions for a number of years so they have the time advantage. In football there bound to be winners and losers. Who will eventually rise to the top, and who will be found out eventually? 2 votes allowed. Please vote one for winner, one for loser. No doubt at the end of the day the voting will be unbalanced. It is too hard to predict for, and hence I refrain from voting. Though I think the combination of Porstmouth and Redknapp will not achieve anything significant in the long term.
  16. Who else has been the star player for Wigan do you think then?
  17. He has been the star player of Wigan this season.

    Mark Hughes

We could do better than appointing Mark Hughes. But we could do far worse! On overall I'll take Mark Hughes. However if he comes here, could he please also bring along his chief scout, whoever he is. Santa Cruz, Samba, Bentley, Pederson, Nelson, Warnock etc. However if I were Mark Hughes, I would stay in Blackburn. Granted I won't have a lot of money to spend, I would have been in Blackburn a few years. I have built the foundation, I have brought in the players I want, I have built a squad of decent talent. Why disrupt this continuity and come to Newcastle? In Newcastle he would not be allowed time to build a team he wants. He would have to make an impact instantly and produce constantly.
  19. Mr Slugworth's list reordered by me 1. Van Gaal - I want attacking football, I want proven record, I want entertainment 2. Hiddink - I want attacking football, I want proven record,. 3. Lippi - I want proven record. 4. Hitzfeld - I want proven record, 5. Scolari - I want proven record, I want entertainment. 6. Mourinho- I want proven record, I want entertainment. 7. Keegan/Shearer - I want entertainment. 8. Houllier - I want boredom, hair pulling entertainment, I want proven record.
  20. Ya I do... You're right btw. I think its just because theyre all as big and as fast as each other compared to how theyre usually streets ahead physically of the europeans they play against week in week out. And the technical levels arent great in the main. lol, I don't think this is true. I just think alot of the better teams look totally disjointed and often look like they don't care. Nigeria, Ghana and the Ivory Coast all have some very good players, yet they all play s*** in the ANC. Egypt won it last time didn't they? Their players are sheiiiiittttt. I think that African powerhouses (Nigeria, Ivory Coast rtc) playing shite has a lot more to do with the manager. Only poor managers unwanted by European clubs and other big countries will manage African nations.
  21. British not = English, love?
  22. This is English Premier League.
