Why Henderson seems to have been assigned the playmaker role I don't know, his range of passing is painfully average. Cleverly is wasted in this system too, doesn't get enough of the ball to do what he's good at. I just think 433 is shit and they don't seem to know how to play in it. It's just as if Pearce has thought 'all the best teams use it, therefore it must be amazing and we should too' without thinking about if we have the players to suit it or not.
-
No. He's all pace and nothing else. That's not strictly true, is it dear?
-
Anyone reckon we should try for Clichy as part of the deal if Arsenal do come in for him? He hasn't progressed as hoped but he's still good enough for us, and, more importantly, is French.
-
although apparently chris hughton may be our new manager, if whispers are to be believed... I would like that.
-
Can't see who would come in for him at that price. Bolton maybe?
-
Brummie is sound but I'm not going to let that get in the way of laughing at them and hoping they have a shit season.
-
Peculiar about Best. Personally I don't rate him but he's a better option over the course of a season than Ameobi, Loven and Ranger. Looks like it's going to be a mental couple of months.

All aboard Randy's banter bus.

I swear Pardew made comments about wanting Tiote to get forward a bit more when possible? Matuidi could be used to sit and allow Tiote and Cabaye to push further forward. Regardless, Matuidi and Tiote in midfield would be like a fucking iron curtain.
-
But what about his Churchill-esque (©someone on here) ability to motivate the unmotivated? His uncanny knack of bringing out the best in those around him when the odds are stacked against us? The God-like aura he has cemented in the hearts of everyone who knows him? Does this not count for anything?!

Don't the Mirror have the worst transfer prediction percentage or something. Literally not seen Warnock play in years and can't remember a thing about him but would be underwhelming.
-
Oh, he won't be. The two performances he's put in warrant nothing less though. See also; Mancienne - Captain

Everything just looks so forced, there is some good talent in there but the tactics are obviously woefully inept, as is the selection. If Rose, Mancienne or Henderson start the next game it will be a farce. The 433 thing is shocking as well, our best talent stuck out on the wing, ffs.

5 years @45k per week. Mental. 4m is an ok price, provided it goes on Matuidi/Gardner rather than Ireland.
-
Ireland would be a disaster. Gardner for me is a much better option. For all the talk of leadership, Nolan certainly rarely showed much leadership on the pitch, in that sense Barton is FAR more important and as a result is the one I'm more worried about losing.
-
Henderson, Mancienne & Rodwell all awful, clueless when it comes to closing down effectively and giving the man on the ball an option. Pearce is utterly clueless, awful stuff.
-
Why can't it ever just be the right time to part ways? I honestly think if he'd have spent any longer here he'd have become unhappy due to not playing as much. As it is he's played a major role in the club, helping us through some rough times and brought some good memories like the Sunderland goals, winning countless points in the Championship with important goals etc. He'll go down a bit of a legend, as in some ways Hughton has, and will stay that way because he didn't stay long enough for the downturn in form/importance. The only disappointing thing for me is the probable smear campaign from Ashley/Llambias which will ensue, when in reality they should be thanking him for what he's done and explaining to fans the reasons for wanting rid.
-
Disappointed he seemed to want to stay, probably deserved to be treated a bit better considering what he's contributed. Going forward though, I don't think he would have scored nearly as many next season, which covers up his piss poor game overall. Honestly, the off the pitch thing is not reason enough to keep him, especially with the expected in flux of new players who may have not gelled with him anyway. Like it or not the squad is moving in a new direction and he's not good enough to keep on big wages at the expense of someone like, Gardner say, who is a better player and has more years left at the top.

Excuse my ignorance but is that me you called like that N'inquiètez pas mimi, c'était une blague! I certainly don't have the english humour because i don't find it funny at all... Aw, sorry babe. Hate it when we argue.
-
That definitely dispels the theory that mimi is a fraud and not in fact a French female. Moody bitch.

Shocking team selection from Pearce, but never expected anything else. Henderson and Mancienne are far too timid. I would go Fielding (?!) Walker Jones Smalling Rose Mancienne Rodwell Cleverley Wellbeck Sinclair Sturridge Thought Javi Martinez was outstanding for them.
