    Shola Ameobi

C Cole puts himself about a lot better and uses his strength and pace more effectively. In the box he's a complete disaster, though, and Shola is much the better finisher.
  2. Said for a while we should go for him. Reckon it would be a great signing. Also: Bentley>>>>Larson
  3. Ziani and Sessegnon are the types we should be looking at, hopefully there's something in the rumours. Never heard of Traore, on Tiote's recommendation perhaps?
  4. If you section me, I'll section you right back. Alright guys, you've had you're fun with the sectioning, they'll be no more sectioning today.
  5. Krul Simpson Williamson Colo Enrique Barton Nolan Tiote Jonas Ameobi Ranger 1-0 win.
  6. Foster, Cech or VDS ahead of Hart for me.

    Alan Pardew

http://www.teamtalk.com/premier-league/6622895/Pardew-wants-more-Toon-quality Newcastle boss Alan Pardew hopes to add some more quality to his side when the transfer window opens next week. Pardew, who succeeded Chris Hughton as manager earlier this month, has watched the Toon slip to successive Premier League defeats to Manchester City and Tottenham since seeing them beat Liverpool in his first game And he is hoping owner Mike Ashley will be prepared to splash some transfer cash next month to allow him to bolster his resources. "We lacked a little bit of quality in the final third against Tottenham," Pardew told the Daily Star. "We have a team on its day that can compete with the top teams, but we need that quality and competitiveness. "We are looking at the market and hopefully can bring something in. You want a bit of quality, pace and directness and that is something we would like to add at some stage." While expressing his desire for fresh talent, Pardew is keen to keep the quality Newcastle already has, reiterating 11-goal hitman Andy Carroll is going nowhere in January. He added: "I have spoken to Mike and made it very clear that Andy has to stay. And he has said he is not for sale." Pardew insists promoted Toon, currently 13th in the table, will only begin thinking about moving upwards when they start winning games. "You can only stop looking over your shoulder when you win," he said. "When you win, you start to think, as players and staff, 'Oh Christ, we can win again'. But when you lose you look backwards."
  8. He can direct his headers properly, instead of right to an opposite players feet or just to the edge of the box which Taylor likes doing.
  9. Better in the air, much better in the tackle than Taylor (going to ground) as well. Would say Taylor gets in front of more (world class blocker /James) and is more aggressive in the oppo box.
  10. Random. Just popped down the page and there this was. Good news. I don't think there's anything between him and Williamson ability wise, I just think Williamson complements Colo a lot better, and vice versa. Colo and Taylor are too similar I feel, neither particularly dominant in the air or fast, but are all round solid defenders. Williamson adds other qualities. Hope Pards goes back to Willicinni tomorrow.
  11. If his hamstring's tight he shouldn't play, shove Simpson across and put S Taylor right back.
  12. Probaby about 5m. Him, Ben Arfa and a striker on loan would be nice.
  13. Best he could do imo. Keep ranger as an impact sub, shift Nolan up and bring Barton inside. All without Smith being anywhere near.
  14. And just struggle on with him and Jonas as the only two wingers?
  15. He's better than Routledge, gives us a decent option off the bench and it's cover for the wing. Would be pleased as long as it's just a loan. Rather him than Woodgate anyhow.
  16. Make it two broken legs and I'm in.
  17. Joaquin was my favourite player for ages. Used to be one of the best with the ball at his feet and so skillfull, never worked hard enough or had enough to his game to make it big, though.
