Whaaaaat? Shittu is fukin class I'd go for: Howard Johnson Mackay El Karkouri Babayaro Gillespie Mahon Francis Pattison (?) Henderson Benjani
-
I'd honestly rather Diawara to El karkouri off the top of my head.
-
What? Reina, Hunt, Shittu, Diawara, Ghaly and Corradi are no way the worst players in the league, and a few of the others are debatable.
-
Heskey, Downing and Sorensen are good players, Ramage and Bramble aren't that bad either.
-
Well, it's got to stop at some point, hasn't it?

If physioroom is to be believed by Liverpool at home, our team could look like this... Given Nobby Taylor Ramage/New signing (fingers crossed) Huntington/Baba/see above Milner Dyer Butt N'Zogbia/Duff Sib Martins Bench: Duff/N'Zogbia, Parker, Bramble, Emre, Harper. The bench is the main good point, a few options available at last. Mind you, it is a big IF that physioroom is correct. And that's providing we get no other injuries in the mean time...

Butt for definite although I'd say Nobby would run him close.
-
Complete opposite to Ferdinand from what I've seen of both players.

Nobby is now our first choice right back so we didn't bid for Lauren. Diop is gonna cost £5m and is a crock in a position we don't need. N0bby's done a fantastic job there but soon he'll get exposed as teams identify him as a weakness, which he is in that position. I don't care that he's done well there, get a fucking REAL right back in and Lauren would have been perfect. How long before Nobby loses the last of his diminishing pace totally? A year or two tops! I can't believe Roeder will make Nobby first choice right back, it's fucking ridiculous. Lauren's got pace, strength, experiance, aggresion and can get up and down the line no trouble when he gets back to full fitness. And it's not like he was expensive either. As for Diop, is he a crock? Players get injured FFS!! A couple of injuries doesn't make them a crock.. We could re-sign Gary Speed and he could easily break his leg in his first game. Seems people immediately dismiss players just because they have had injuries in the past. Diop > Parker IMO, and as far as I'm concerned, Diop is in his prime and would be a good foil for Emre or Dyer's role and is a snip at the price he was sold for. I think Roeder needs to lower his expectations a bit and not be scared to get a few squad players in, he's already proved he can by getting Sibierski.

We've won it 2 times, without killing anyone... or something. Cheers, cheeky sods. I thought it was - He winks to the left He winks to the riiiight That/Our boy Ronaldo Made England look shite

Sums it up. That's why debates always go on about players like this.
-
He needs to run at players a bit more, I remember seeing a bit of him last season at Villa and he was always going at the full back and getting crosses in. Doesn't matter at his lack of pace as a step over or two throws the player off balance and gives you a yard to cross. It's probably just a confidence thing at the moment but still, he manages to turn it on for the under 21's when he's with them. Also get a bit more aggresive, get a few challenges in here and there. Oh and he needs to tuck his shirt in, makes it look like he hasn't got any shorts on.
-
It sounds tacky and American - a definite no.
-
I've sort of lost track over the last few days. What's the story if there is one with Lauren? Why the fuck is he at Portsmouth FFS? Did we bid for him? Diop aswell, a great player let go cheap that we yet again miss out on. Just fucks me off to see lesser clubs get signable players that would no doubt improve our team when we're still signing and basically squad-less!!
-
Doesn't work for me at all Is there something somewhere in profile about it? I like the black n back skin though - no more red writing.
-
Oh right sorry I probably agree with that comment then.

Exactly that's what Adrian Durham did to me ages ago, I said my point about the toon, then closed with "never in media history have I heard a more ridiculous point of view than yours on this subject" and he cut me off, the prick. Same with John Gaunt though, people can get 5 seconds, "I disagree with your point of view about immigra.." - Gaunt: "Get off the line, it's like a 6 form common room on here today".. brummie wank. They're always coming up with comments like this, that's why I hate listening to it. Someone comes on with a fair point and just because it goes against the grain of what they're saying they get all uptight and nasty about it. It's like just because they're hosting the programme, they are always right and anyone who disagrees is laughable and a complete incompetent twat. When in reality it's them who come across as that. What was the gist of what you said Stevie?

Agree, Villa is 10 times what Albert Luque is. I really hate to do this, and fair enough it's been a couple of years since, but Luque was quality in Spain. At the moment, yes it's more than fair to say that Villa is currently 10 times better then Luque, but for all we know Luque could end up back in Spain and recapturing his former heights. Fair point, I agree. Luque isn't an out and out striker so replacing him for Villa would be madness on Valencia's part. Villa is Spain's best striker since Raul in his hay day and I doubt they would be that thick as to sell him. When signing him, David Villa would be 10 times Albert Luque and fair enough he could recapture his old form, but the risk they would be taking would be huge.
-
There's only 3 of them i'd have in the starting 11, though. N'Zogbia, Duff, and Owen? N'Zogbia, Moore and Owen?
-
Agree, Villa is 10 times what Albert Luque is. Doubt Villa would go to Liverpool though.
-
One goal against Man Utd and suddenly, everyone wants him. Depresses me at times. I'd rather keep Parker, than sell him and buy Reo-Coker, and I think Parker is WAY over-rated.
-
The new Pellegrino.

Before the game, yes. But with 5 mins left, with the opposition down to 10 men we should have seen it out, also missed a few decent chances apparently.
