Surely that's the case yeah, just a lower margin when there's more intermediaries. That little paragraph is fantastic though It is hilarious, but I bet there's a few cheesed-off sports retailers now. After they bought a load of mackem shirts and now the club is telling the fans not to buy them I think most will buy from the cheapest outlet.

Unless Niall Quinns emotional blackmail actually works. SAFC Club Shop = £35 Ashleys Emporium = £25 http://www.safc.com/news/?page_id=14714 - 3rd paragraph down.

Martins was wasteful. Missing a 1 on 1 that needed guile not brut force. He was also selfish when he went for goal at an almost impossible angle when a pacy cross would have likely been more dangerous. AND, he gave McShane who was without a doubt the worst player on the park about as easy a time as anyone possibly could have.

Newcastle United 2 - 0 Mackems - 20/04/08 - Post match reaction from page 13

I thought there was a high level of BS (in the other sense) in the MOTD analysis, to be honest. We're doing much better for two main reasons. The team is playing in a relaxed and confident manner whereas under Sam they clearly looked burdened by the pressure. Secondly, we look far more like scoring because the team is set up to allow Owen to ghost into the box from deep positions, and his ability to read the game and get on the end of chances has always been very good. Keown was trying to say that we've changed from a long ball side to one that passes it on the ground, but I don't think that's right. Yesterday, we were playing just as many long balls as before, and our passing through the midfield, for most of the game, was pretty woeful. We've not suddenly changed from Bolton to Barcelona. The relationship between players and manager has improved and the team looks relaxed, but there's still a lot of work to be done. Most of the long ball were passes not punts. Big difference. Sam would punt into channels. And midfield was messy mainly because we were a man short most of the time - especially second half. -
Mort - "not looking to make one-off signings to appease fans"

It may be more to do with how the likes of Luque and to a lesser extent Owen were brought to the Club. -

Dabizas and O'Brien kept him out of his favoured position.

Read on a mackem message board that Grant said the team might have been in shock at the reason Lampard quit the squad tonight. Anyone know anything about it?

O'Brien over the wall. Stood in the Roker End at the 'no way fans' match. Eerie silence descended twice. Somehow managed to hold the urge to go "GET THE FUCK IN"and jump around like a loony. The 1-4 was a cracking day out. The early morning piss ups. 7-30am start next Sunday.

Allowing Derby County to totally humiliate us. Everything that was wrong with his entire time on Tyneside rolled into 1 game.

Always said Keegans the man.

Though Keegan has said little about the shit pile he took over I see Mort in his Reading program notes suggests the upturn in fortune coincides with the return to fitness of the squad. Pointing out how we don't get slammed in the 2nd half of games.

Chris Hughton new Coach?the real reason behind recent success?
Crumpy Gunt replied to a topic in Football
It's took Keegan a while to get the squad fit. I think it's as simple as that. Obviously a fitter squad can play Keegans game more effectively. -
A player who can only be in decline. Over 30 means his best days are behind him. Only way I'd bring him was if it was at a real knockdown price as he'll have zero resale value in 3/4 seasons. Much rather go for the Bentley.

The Nicky Butt 'song' is as pathetic as any I've ever heard.
