I'll freely admit that I thought Barton would easily have stood out amongst the dross that is our (central) midfield. He, like just about everyone else has played way way below his expected standard. I wouldn't particularly say Barton has ben worse than the majority of his team mates. I think Butt and Emre have little more to offer and I think Barton is firing well below his standard.

not all fans want to sit though, thats the problem. more fans throughout the country (not just at this club) want to stand. if things like this took place and were a success, safe standing sections could be developed, thus meaning the fans who want to stand have somewhere to go and not get removed/season tickets taking off them, and the people who want to sit, can do so happily away from the standing sections. I don't particularly want to sit!

Why not just sit fucking down? Pissed me off no end at Wigan where I sat (forced to stand) in the row in front of a disabled section. I doubt it would have been fun for those using the disabled facilities to see a wall of backs for 90 minutes.

End of March is the cut off point for all types of transfers.

Mate just told me Shola was woeful tonight. I'm sure someone coming on later will likely confirm this opinion. I'd let him go now and rid the Club of this totally useless fucker. And yes, Carrol every time before Shola for me.

Given is not a patch on the 'keeper he was 18 months/2 yrs ago. I don't think he'd be first choice at many Clubs at this moment in time. Seeing Harper come on yesterday made it obvious as to how far Given has slipped back. I think Harper would have got their first - it was only a minor deflection and Given got nowhere near it. I think it's maybe time to totally rethink the 'keepers position and maybe bring in a 'keeper in the summer.

Time to let this shower of sh*t know what the fans think of their efforts.

You mean he actually earned his £105k weekly wage? -
These two Baggio quotes sum up my feelings. This season has always been a write-off. Keegan will be judged on this Summer coming. getting the first will be the awkward bit, once players feel things are happening here good enough players will come. i'm more worried if we'll be prepairing for a promotion campaign And anyone who thinks that scenario as unthinkable had better start thinking again.

I see very little or no improvement on Allardyce reign. Still picking Smith for starters ......

Football & NUFC HAS changed, but has KK & if so what does that mean for us?

Keegan is a cheque book manager and any progress will be measured entirely upon how much Ashley gives him to spend. He is a tactical liability. -
Keegan Interview Finished - Recap/Listen Again 1st Post

I think Nancy from Hexham (2nd caller) was after Shola to bust her chocolate starfish. Bloody hell, I thought she was going to suggest that Keegan sent him round her house for a good 'work out' if he wasn't going to get a game. Scruffy owld mare! -
Fact is that avenues of revenue are lkely exhausted/maxed out in UK. Moving games overseas is purely to open new opportunities to fleece a new joe public of their hard earned. Although who'll turn out for Bolton v Fulham?

It wont matter because he's injured. Is he? Yes. Ankle injury. Will be lucky to make it. -

I'll be there. Only 3 tickets/seats remaining. I think I'll be happy with a point which I think we'll be capable of if we can play Beye, Faye, Taylor and Enrique at the back. -
Should None Season Ticket Holders Have Their Own Forum?
Crumpy Gunt replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
I've offered to run 3 or 4 trips on the 'ticket exchange' section but despite transport AND match tickets being included interest has been limited and virtually non existant. Would have thought a gilt-edged opportunity to support the toon away would have been a god send for folk who might usually struggle to get tickets for away games. -
And leave the real football talk to those who've earned their right to an opinion?

Emre was just as bad if not worse. Fact is central midfield is appaling collectively.

It is part of Newcastle United's Equality & Diversity policy "Jobs for Dwarfs". Snow White, Keegan, Wise, Owen,Smith, Nzog, Duff, Emre, Milner, Barton & Carr. Corrected.

Stinks of 'jobs for the boys' mentality.

I thought the Club (Ashley) had missed a glorious opportunity to move up to the level required. The new manager should have had success written all over him. He should have either had CL under his belt or managed at the highest levels in Spain/Germany/Italy. I had serious reservations when I heard about Keegan and I still have them now. He's a cheque book manager with good motivaional skills - but he'll be walked all over by the Fergusons and Wengers of the game. But, I think over 18 months Keegan will 'up' the anti and move the Club forward just not sure he's got it in him to break the top 4.
